Our family of four stayed at the Granite Cabin at Rye Creek Lodge in Darby MT. It was the highlight of a spectacular trip across the west. We had plenty of room, a lovely view and porch, laundry facilities and very friendly and accomodating staff to address our every need. Mike Nelson was fantastic and helpful in providing hiking advice,... More

Absolutely lovely! Clean, new and tastefully done with total seclusion from other guests. Amazing views, nice (and clean) hot tub, star gazing and a romantic place to stay or get away that won't break the bank! Very nice and easy phone check in for late arrival. My only complaint was no coffee creamer. Stayed in the Sapphire cabin

If you are looking for some relaxing or unwinding time this place is for you. The cabins are very spacious, clean, and have everything you could want for your stay. The decor is perfect for the rustic setting. The customer service is top notch. If for some reason you do need something Mike is just a short drive or phone... More

We were married nearby and came back to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The landscape is beautiful in any weather and the Rye Creek Lodge is a gem. It is truly Montana luxury without the luxury price. We were well taken care of by our hosts and enjoyed every minute of our stay. All the... More

We had a great stay at Rye Creek Lodge. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy and we were able to see a herd of about 150 elk. It is just far enough away from Missoula to get out of town yet not to far. I would highly recommend.

Reflecting on our stay at Rye Creek Lodge, the serene setting was most romantic and relaxing. May I first say, the check-in process was certainly an indicator of the hospitality and quality offered. Driving to the end of trail for the Willow Cabin heighten our anticipation of the next days to follow. Keep in mind March in Montana is still... More

The cabin was nicely appointed and very cozy. Lovely views across the meadow to the river. The owners have taken great care to make everything perfect for your stay. Had a good dinner down the road at the Rocky Knob. Clean, comfortable, authentic. A great place to stay!

This was our 4th time staying at Rye Creek and we just love it! We've been just the two of us and also with the kids (3 boys ages 3 to 9). My sister and her family rented the cabin next to us this time and it was so much fun! We relaxed, used the spa, played board games, fishing,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amid millions of acres of pristine wilderness, this first class Montana ranch offers a spectacular vacation hideaway. Activities include trail riding, wilderness hiking, world class fly fishing, fly casting lessons, white water rafting, and ATV rides. Fly fishing is rewarding on the Bitterroot, Selway, Salmon and Big Hole Rivers or the many nearby alpine lakes. For a slower pace, relax on your cabin's front porch and view wildlife or visit the hot springs. Our luxury hand-hewn log cabins are nestled in a beautiful natural setting and offer excellent privacy. Cabins are generously distanced from each other by 100 yards or more. Each luxury log cabin has a river rock fireplace, modern kitchen, laundry facilities, and a private outdoor hot tub. Rye Creek Lodge is located at the southern end of the scenic Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. Rye Creek meanders through 120 acres, providing over a mile of prime habitat for moose, elk and deer. Several ponds create an oasis in the "high country" of Montana. Granite outcroppings, large ponderosa and numerous aspen provide close-up views while Trapper Peak looms overhead. The Bitterroot Valley on the western Montana/Idaho border is a place of serenity, natural beauty and wonder in all four seasons. In spring, the meadows come to life with wildflowers and the air is fresh with new beginnings. In summer, the sun-filled days are perfect for fly fishing, horseback riding, scenic float trips, hiking and cycling. The Bitterroot Mountains in the fall are a dazzling sight with bright blue skies and quaking aspen shimmering in the sun ... Followed by crisp, cool evenings. Our mild winters are exhilarating with the beautiful quiet of fresh powder mornings, the breathtaking view of the Bitterroot Range panoramas and the thrill of Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing through unspoiled snow-covered wilderness.
