I was headed to another town, but decide Darby looked charming and decided to stay. Travellers Rest had a late check-in with a large, comfortable, quiet room. The staff was very nice, both on the phone and in person. The property is well located to take a nice stroll from one end of town to the other. Restaurants and shopping are easy to access. If I find myself headed in Darby's direction again, I will call ahead to reserve a room at Travellers Rest.
A very nice, quiet and close to town little cabin that was just right for our overnight stay. The owner was very, very nice and check-in was efficient, easy and comfortable. The cabin was clean and delightful although the bed could use an upgrade.
Very clean rest rooms, laundry and RV sites. Affordable. The hosts were very nice. WiFi was actually very good. We stayed only one night, but we loved it. Only one thing I have to say is that it was noisy in the early hours with Diesel engine traffic.
This RV park is incredibly well maintained. We were impressed with just about every aspect. There are just a handful of RV spots, but there are trees, 50 amp service, and a nice bathroom/shower/laundry building. The wifi was strong and secure. The spots were level with grass all around. Even with a booster, we couldn't pick up any TV signal. There seemed to be someone watering, cleaning up, touching up, or doing basic maintenance every time we looked around. The only issue I had was some of the other guests from the cabins or bunkroom who were drinking, talking loudly, and hanging out on the porch by the bathrooms/laundry well into the night. For such a quiet and clean place, it just seemed out of place.
The wife and I stayed here while attending Her class reunion during Logger days, we were impressed with the clean restrooms and the great hospitality of the owners/hosts. We camped there from a Thursday night to Sunday morning. It was A very peaceful stay.
