CJR is absolutely stunning. The cabins have everything you could need. Shane and Angela are the absolute best hosts! I would highly recommend! We did a river float and the guys golfed in nearby Hamilton. Such a slow, relaxing place to stay.

CJR is a wonderful place to visit and relax. Owners Shane and Angela are such great people with a passion for their ranch. We had a party of 8 and loved our stay! It is such a beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy.

Husband and I had a fantastic 4 days at the Chief Joseph Ranch aka Dutton Ranch where tv series Yellowstone is filmed. We stayed in the Ben Cook cabin used in filming (Rip’s cabin). It's an awesome log structure with 2 br / 2 baths - very modern, but truly a mountain feel. The "cabin" is a full house and very cozy with a full kitchen if you're in the mood to cook. Even a full size washer and dryer in the basement. The local grocery store has everything you need. Angela and Shane treated us like family including greeting us with hot peach crisp when we arrived. We were able to wander the whole property and even feed the horses whenever we wanted. Shane gave us a long tour of the whole property and it was SO FUN!! There is so much more to this experience here than the novelty of it being a filming location for "Yellowstone". Angela recommended an ATV company and we had a ball riding up into the Bitterroots on our own ATV tour. Next time we'll add in some horseback riding. We're already planning our 2020 trip.

The cabin is outfitted with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the lower level along with kitchen and great room with a beautiful stone wood burning fireplace. The loft has another full bed and 2 twin beds so you could conceivably sleep 8 people. Then comes the rest of the ranch. When you watch the TV show Yellowstone even with the magnificent cinematography it does not do it justice. The property is truly breathtaking. The owners are lovely people. They could not have been anymore accommodating. The owner was kind enough to spend quite a bit of time one day with us detailing all about the property. He took us through the entire ranch and explained in detail everything about the property. He made us feel like part of the family. We had the entire ranch to ourselves. No other guests were there which was really nice. Everything on the property looked so lush as they were preparing to film for the show. There was a large herd of elk one night that came into the field. I fly fished on the beautiful river right below the property on the other side of the road. My wife and I were simply taken back on the beauty of the property. We do live here in Montana but this part of Montana does not get any better. I simply could go on and on about the ranch. We would really have loved to come about mid-October but with the filming that takes over the property for a few weeks that wasn't feasible.

Guys FYI!!! This is YELLOWSTONE DUTTON RANCH! From the hit show “Yellowstone”! If your calling and don’t get an answer for your reservation, 9/10 it’s because it’s closed for filming this AMAZING SHOW! Please be patient and give the owners time to come back and gather their thoughts to help accommodate you!! It’s such an amazing property, it will definitely be well worth your wait!!!!❤️❤️
