Detailed Reviews
My husband and I recently stayed at this excellent B&B on the western side of Glacier National Park. We had flown into Kalispell after an extremely early start to our travel day (awoke at 2:45AM ago get to the airport for a 6:10AM flight, 4 hour layover, then arriving at Kalispell around 2PM. We chose to spend the first few days on the east side which added even more travel to an already long day. What it boils down to is this…don’t repeat our mistake! Land in Kalispell, spend the night at BadRock B&B, have a LOVELY dinner at 3 Forks and relax!
Bill is the most excellent host, having thought of absolutely everything you might possibly need. There is a regular sized washer and dryer available for your use (even the detergent and laundry basket was supplied!). We arrived after 4 days of hiking in 85 degree weather, so this was greatly appreciated. The king bed was very comfortable and the B&B is located in a nice quiet location (not a train whistle to be heard). He has a closet full of things you can borrow, bear spray, hiking poles (that you cannot bring in a carryon bag), igloos, rain gear you name it, he would lend it to you. The game room has a full kitchen, along with the laundry area, where you can play pool while waiting for your laundry to finish, or dinner to cook. The breakfast was excellent and filling with good coffee. All in all an excellent place to stay.

Thank you for the great review. Many guests, over the years, have found that our bed and breakfast offers more than most if not all of the places inside the park with regards to comfort, food, and overall a Montana feel. We have the best location in all of the valley, thus nestled in the farming community of Columbia Falls just 18 1/2 miles outside Glacier National Park. LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION. We here at Badrock Bed and Breakfast are a team and our success is completely attributed to our outstanding staff. We hope that your stay will have you back in the years to come. Thanks again. Be safe.

We experienced a wonderful 7 night stay at Bad Rock B and B last week. The property is gorgeously maintained, in a beautiful central location for exploring GNP, Whitefish, Kalispell and Flathead Lake. Tasty, delicious breakfasts and excellent attention to detail. Bill and Roz have anticipated every need, from rain jackets, coolers and bear spray for guests to borrow, to sodas and ice pack supplies. The game room, laundry, kitchen, library, guide books, sitting areas......if you need to rest and recharge while experiencing nature, I recommend visiting Bad Rock!

When people call to make reservations, a common questions is, "how many days should they stay in-order-to see Glacier National Park. It all depends on how much of the park do they want to see? In your case 7 days is a good amount of time to really see all the gems that the park has to offer. Three of the most acclaimed hikes and sites take a full day all to themselves. The misses and I hope that your stay was eventful and your pictures surreal. We are pleased to see that you took advantage of many if not all of the things our bed and breakfast has to offer. We always looking to make our place better and better each and every year. Be safe....and we will see you in the seasons to come.

Badrock B and B will be remembered as one of my favorites. Where do I begin. The house is spotless, comfortable and beautiful inside and out. Roz, our host has thought of and provided anything A visitor to the beautiful Glaciers National Park visitor could want. Bear spray, binocular, jackets, walking sticks, beach towels and chairs are all available to be borrowed. A well stocked library has a multitude of books regarding the park and environs for perusal. The gardens both in front and behind the house are welcoming and restful after a long day of hiking. Not only does a separate building on the property have a full kitchen for the use of guests, it also contains a washer and dryer. While waiting for our laundry to finish, my family enjoyed playing pool and air hockey likewise generously provided for guests. Our room held a large comfortable bed and 2 day beds, a lovely clean bathroom and a beautiful deck we could sit on and watch the sun rise over the mountains. Breakfast was healthy, delicious and ample. I would HIGHLY recommend Badrock B and B and hope to go back one day.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived. Bill and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly. They had a closet full of sanitized items we could (and did) borrow for hiking: raincoats, walking sticks, coolers, bear spray,.... Breakfast was delicious! Tea and snacks were avail 24/7. A washer and dryer was free to use as well as a fully stocked game room. Grounds were beautiful. We went back an extra day after hiking in Glacier. Would recommend to anyone.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay while exploring GNP & Whitefish. They have everything you need - hiking poles, light jackets, bear spray & so much more. My husband & I enjoyed playing pool & air hockey in the game room & watching a movie in their TV room. Their community kitchen was fully stocked & made it easy to pack lunch for our GNP trip. Sunsets from our balcony were beautiful & the room was very cozy. The owners have truly thought of everything to make a comfortable stay. We can't wait to stay again!

We stayed in the Columbia Mountain Suite, which has a queen bed and two twin beds, which is perfect for a family of 3 or 4. Our room had a small fridge and a deck with outdoor furniture - perfect to sit out and enjoy the QUIET.
Breakfast each morning was filling and included waffles with fruit, eggs/croissant sandwiches, french toast casserole, bacon, tasty fruit (where do they shop???) and a new side dish (to us at least), chia pudding, which was so GOOD! We also indulged in huckleberry scones, chocolate chip scones and lemon squares - mmmm....good!
This B&B also does something I've not seen elsewhere, and really made a difference in our trip; we were able to borrow a cooler and freezer packs, which allowed us to have lunch and drinks while out and about in Glacier National Park. Other items available to borrow (honor system): walking sticks, rain jackets, binoculars, beach towels, and bear spray (I **think** for this last item, if used, you reimburse the B&B).
Also included is a full kitchen (just clean up after yourself), game room with pool table and shuffleboard, DVD library, book library (with books about the area as well as fiction/non-fiction), as well as soda selections (limited to two per guest per day, which is definitely generous and plenty). Tea is also out 24/7. Fire pits available as well for guest's use.
Bill is friendly (even from my first call back in January), and his wife, Roz, who was only at the B&B for one night of our stay, is pleasant.
They definitely have something good going, and know the recipe for customer service and success!

WOW a very extensive review...thank you. We are grateful to work with great people in one of the most beautiful places here in Montana. Every time a new guest arrives we are pleased to invite them into our home/business, for it is the essence of our business branding. The captivating landscape and the beautiful yet cozy suites and cabins are the talk of many of the years past reviews. Many of this years guests are referrals of past guests who visited Glacier NP and stayed in one of the many accommodations here at our property. What are we doing that makes us successful? We have not invented a new way to treat guests, or have we found new ways to distinguish ourselves from our competition. "We are our own competition". We strive to do the things that our parents taught us growing up: look at people in the eye, be honest, provide a great product, love one another, and protect what is yours. I will be sure to pass on your words of praise to our staff, for they are the reason we are successful. Thank you again. Be safe.

My family is for had a great time at Bad Rock B&B. The newish owners seem eager to welcome and help. Great breakfast, close to glacier np, plenty of room (stayed in Lake McDonald Room), kids loved the game room, kitchen and laundry were very helpful. Only downside was the super firm mattresses, but didn’t stop most the family from snoozing. Would gladly return!

The Bad Rock B & B was a fantastic place to stay! The room was very spacious (bathroom was also huge) and extremely clean. It was perfect for our family of 4 and all of our gear. The location was very convenient, it's a short 20 minute drive to Glacier National Park. The breakfasts were amazing--even my picky eater enjoyed them. Roz & Bill were great hosts, gave us good advice about which trail to hike with the kids. They lent us bear spray & have all kinds of hiking/outdoor items that you can borrow. My kids absolutely loved the game room that has a pool table & air hockey; it also has a guest kitchen you can use & laundry facilities. I highly recommend the Bad Rock B & B, it's a welcoming place that has everything you could possibly ever need on your trip!

The property was on a quiet and beautiful ranch. When Bill showed us around, we were impressed with the cozy living room, the small library on Glacier National Park, the play room, the garden and the spacious cabin. It was only 30 mins drive from West Entrance of Glacier. Staying in Columbia Falls gives you much better options for grocery shopping and dining than staying in the park.
Bill and his wife were fantastic hosts. He gave great advice on the national park as well as nearby towns to visit. He kindly provided the cooler, bear spray and hiking poles to use for day hikes, which proved to be very helpful. He also packed breakfast for us to bring.
We spent most of the day in the park and only made it to one breakfast. I almost felt we did not take full advantage of the experience they offered.

Roz and Bill’s bed and breakfast is a very quaint cabin style accommodation about 20 minutes from GNP West Entrance. They service a delicious breakfast each day with the option for takeaway breakfast if you are leaving early. One of the best things about this b&b is the availability of items we may need for the park— bear spray, hiking poles, towels, binoculars, coolers, ice packs, or book bags. They are also child friendly and welcomed our 2.5 year old and 8 month old. We would definitely return when in the area.
