Family reunion for 30+ and North Forty Resort was the perfect spot! Each family rented a cabin and as a group we rented the Snowberry Lodge for group meals and gathering. The Cabins are spacious & comfortable - the beds are amazing! Our group ordered some main dishes from local restaurants for a couple of meals and we used the full kitchen and outdoor grills for a cookout. We were able to hold our Cornhole/Bags tournament using the "ampitheater" seating to watch the players. And, in our spare time we all explored Glacier National Park! What a wonderful place to meet, sleep, eat and visit!

North Forty Resort has quickly become one of my favorite places that I have ever stayed. It is conveniently located about 25 minutes to the entrance of West Glacier National Park. This resort hit the mark in every way. My family and I stayed here August 1st-9th after having to cancel our trip to Greece that was planned because of Covid and where this could have been very disappointing, it was turned into such a positive experience because of North Forty Resort.
North Forty Resort pretty much offers it all. The spacious and extremely clean cabins come equipped with a full kitchen and everything you need (dishes, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker and coffee, paper towels, dish detergent...), the bathroom was a nice size, and the bedrooms and living area accommodated my family very nicely. The cabins have a cute front porch with a picnic table that quickly became our favorite place to eat every night or play a board game. If there was something that the cabin did not have and you need it such as a toaster oven or pancake griddle, all you had to do was give them a call and they delivered it. We were even able to request a fire ring and fire wood so that we could enjoy our evenings making smores or just simply spending time talking. I also appreciated the system they developed in order to replace the necessities in your cabin. They have a small basket on the kitchen table that contains a wipe board with all the options. All we had to do was simply check off the things we needed to replace and put the board outside the cabin by 10am and it was all taken care of. Another point to mention was the Wifi. My husband had to work during this vacation and he had no issues whatsoever with the wifi.
North Forty also hit the mark on staff. Every member of their team always had a smile and was willing to help in any way they could. I want to give a special thank you to each and everyone of you guys who truly went above and beyond to make our stay a trip that will be fondly remembered for a long time.

We loved our stay at North 40 Resort! The cabins are easy to access and not far from Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and Glacier National Park. It's a great central location for any or all of those locations. The cabin was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, very roomy for our family of 5 plus our dog. There are plenty of areas to walk pets, and keep them away from visitors who may not want to be bothered by our furry friends. The staff was super nice and helpful. There are 2 nice sized hot tubs in a central location to all cabins. They are outside, but covered and were very enjoyable in the winter. There are also restrooms and a sauna so you can dress/undress before heading back to your cabin. Overall, it was a terrific experience and we are already planning our next trip!

We stayed at this place in one of the small cabins and found it delightful. The people in the office were very friendly (and even loaned us bear spray) and the cabin was really nice. A living room, a small kitchen, and a bedroom with a queen and a single. The bedroom had a sink with a mirror with great lighting in addition to the full bath, helping two people get ready at once. We parked in a. little drive right next to the cabin, which was really nice for lugging our luggage in and out. And as a bonus, the TV was a Roku TV, so I was able to log into our YouTube TV account to watch our regularly recorded shows. You could also log into your Hulu, Netflix, or other streaming service account. That was a nice bonus!

This is the perfect location to stay when visiting Glacier NP. Our stay was four days and we enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting of our cabin in the woods! The kitchen was equipped with enough utensils to make a simple meal. We appreciated the laundry facilities and wished we would have brought bathing suits for the hot tub and sauna. The owner is on-site and encouraged me to get the free bear spray from the office before checking out the mile long hiking trail behind the cabins. The office area has a nice welcome area with coffee, tea and hot chocolate and room to relax in comfy seating. Columbia Falls has a nice variety of restaurants and retail outlets. Every evening when we returned to the resort, the nice North Forty neon sign welcomed us home! I highly recommend this resort!

We booked a cabin at the resort on Booking.com. A few weeks later we received word that there was an error and they could not help us since all the cabins were booked. So we called the resort directly and Sarah graciously worked with us to schedule a three-day stay. That was just the beginning of our satisfaction with North Forty Resort. After spending a couple of weeks on the road, we also appreciated the fact that we could actually cook our own food. Since we spent most of our day at Glacier National Park, from which our cabin was just a short drive away, we wanted to keep the food simple. The spacious cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We did not use the other facilities at the resort. The entire experience was quite nice and we enjoyed the great hospitality of the folks from North Forty. We would most definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins for three nights in September, 2022, while visiting Glacier National Park, our favorite national park. The cabins are well spaced resulting in some privacy. The front porch is large and very comfortable to sit and enjoy. We were in the tier of cabins closer to the highway which we could hear a little while we were outside, but we could not hear the noise when we were inside the cabin. The cabins are comfortable and big enough for 4 people (we were only 2 people). We stayed in a Ponderosa or Larch Cabin.
We only fixed breakfast in the kitchen, but it would have been workable for more meals. The people in the office were very nice. The queen bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, but the twin bed was too firm. It needed to have a pillow top pad added to it. The only other downside feature was the comforters on the beds. They are the old fashioned kind where all the filling floats around inside. It would have been more comfortable to have the quilted type where the filling stays put. Last time we were at Glacier NP we stayed closer to West Glacier which put us at a distance for restaurants in Whitefish, but closer to the park. We think that all things consider, we liked being closer to Whitefish this time for all the convenience that allowed.

We had a wonderful stay here with 7 of us staying in the Tamarack cabin. It gave us all space for sleeping, and bathrooms so we didn't feel like we were cramped at all. The General Manager Pris and front desk gal Sarah, were wonderful and great to work with. I can not say enough about this resort. They have games and kitchen items that can be checked out for use in the cabins to make for a wonderful stay. The cabins are spaced out with lots of space for privacy. We will be back on our next trip to the area. I think we have found our gem, diamond in the not so rough. The hot tubs were wonderful to sooth the aches and pains away from the day's hikes.

We made reservations at this resort for our granddaughter's wedding, checking in was easy and the people were so friendly and helpful. Our cabin was outstanding, cozy, very clean, and supplied with all our needs. There was an electric fireplace in the living room and the furniture met all our expectations. the beds were so comfortable. Their housekeeping is a plus, great personalities but does their duties professionally. We plan on making a return trip to that area and will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 4 days while exploring Glacier National Park. Great location for getting to the park, with close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. The cabin was clean, staff was friendly, laundry on site was a huge plus! Being able to cook and grill was awesome, the kitchen has the basics you’ll need. Hot tub and sauna were great after a long day of hiking! Will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend.

BBQ's for some cabins which are great in summer. Enough equipment for breakfasts or lunches but with so many good restaurants in the area you will want to eat out as well.

How long would it take to get to east glacier park entrance?
Answer from Julie From WI
Wisconsin92 contributions70 helpful votes
We used the North Forty when visiting the sites on the west side of Glacier Park and the drive was not bad at all. We also liked the close proximity to Whitefish, Columbia and the theater in Big Fork. We stayed elsewhere (east) for the days we spent visiting the east side of the park.

Hi---we stayed in a cabin in the very back and it was very quiet! Ate a lot in the cabin but also ate at Backslope Brewing Restaurant and it was excellent. Had veggie burger at the Huckleberry Patch as well and it was good--anything huckleberry is very tasty along the line of desserts. When you say EAST entrance do you mean Many Glacier or St. Mary? If you drive through the park along Going to the Sun Road from this resort, it will take about 1.5 hours with no traffic on the road to get to far end of Going to the Sun Road. That is early in the morning or late in the day. If you try it in the middle of the day, plan on traffic and it could take you more than 2 hours. To get from the resort to the West entrance (the closest one) takes 20 minutes. Enjoy!
