The Blue Damsel Lodge is located on the banks of legendary Rock Creek. You will experience luxurious lodge accommodations, Chef crafted gourmet cuisine, serenity and some of the finest fly fishing imaginable on four well-known trout streams. Located in the pristine 2 million acre Lolo National Forest, yet just 43 minutes from the Missoula International Airport, Blue Damsel Lodge is nestled in what has been written about as one of the loveliest mountain valleys in Montana. We fish trout-rich sections of the Big Blackfoot, Bitterroot and Clark Fork rivers and out back flows the blue ribbon water of Rock Creek. "Come Experience Life on the Edge of the Wilderness"

There are several easily accessible iconic rivers to choose from, depending on conditions which can vary river to river on any given day, one of which is right on the property. The trout are large and plentiful. Missoula is within easy reach as are other small mountain towns that are wonderful to visit. Accommodations, including 5-star meals, are aboslutely first class, as are the hosts, Keith, Rob and Jenny, who are all expert fly fishers eager to share their knowledge. The lodge is in true Montana wilderness, but only about 20 min from I-90, which allows you to make this your only destination or one among others, including national and state parks.

My husband and I both loved the Blue Damsel Lodge. My husband enjoyed the fishing while I relaxed and took in the view. The lodge has wonderful views of the creek and you can fish right on the property. Our hosts, Rob and Jenny, were great. Super knowledgeable and very hospitable. Chef Tim prepared delicious 5-star meals. We can't wait to return soon!

Great location. Great accommodation. Great people. Great food. Could not have asked for a better location, lodging, and hosts. Rob, Jenny and Tim were marvelous hosts and provided us with a wealth of knowledge about the local area and fly-fishing in general.

Beautiful lodge, beautiful setting. Good people (Keith, Rob, Jenny, Tim) make all the difference in choosing this destination. The hospitality, gourmet food (Chef Tim), open bar and good fishing make it worth the money.

The Blue Damsel is a beautiful getaway nestled in the mountains, perfect for kicking back after a long day in the Montana wilderness. We had a short visit but Jenny and Rob made us feel at home, and Tim, the Damsel's chef in residence, treated us to gourmet steak dinner. After dinner we settled in for delicious cocktails and music around the bonfire under the stars. The lodge is a short trek from Missoula...just short enough not to be tedious and just long enough to make you feel transported out of the reach of cell phone towers and modern chaos (don't worry, the lodge has wifi, so you don't have to unplug completely). There are other outdoor attractions within a short driving distance of the lodge, but chances are you won't want to leave. The lodge accommodates about 10 people at a time, and provides plenty of comfy couches, roaring fires, and ever-present coffee and beer to keep the conversation flowing. We especially enjoyed drifting off to the sound of the river roaring below. It's a truly magical place. Don't miss it!
