We wanted a 'real" Montana experience and certainly found it with this beautiful spot along the Missouri River. If you want a five-star place that pampers its campers, this may not be for you. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, and a major fishing river nearby, then this campsite is for you. The restroom/shower facility is basically a rustic "one-holer," but was clean and well-maintained. Total camp sites are less than most of the other camps, so we did not experience any waits or delays. We were met by one of the Owners who showed us to our spot and was helpful with our initial questions. I had two hours to fish a major fly fishing river and thoroughly enjoyed it. Decent fishing within a five minute walk of the camp. The real treat came at night. We had a clear night September night, no bugs, no noise, no interruptions, and just sat and relaxed well past dark. At 2 am, my wife got up just to look at the stars. It was an unbelievable night and awesome experience. We plan to return for an extended stay in a couple of years and would love to be here again.

Picked this at random on our way south. It was nice, peaceful and quiet. Owners were nice. Old 91 is a nice scenic ride and the river is a short stroll across the street. Laundry room was clean. Didn't use the restrooms. Big horn sheep came down for a visit and so did some deer.

Caution, this run down campground is certainly far and away from an RV Park in the 2018 sense of the word. EG - one men's and one women's restroom to service the entire campground - that's a beginning to consider. We were here years ago, and the same rundown old restaurant (now closed and of course FOR SALE like a lot of other properties in the area) is still there to greet you only much more sad looking & falling apart. They don't show you that in the pictures online. This canyon campground is definitely positioned in a beautiful setting, if that's all you need, but for my forty bucks (USD's) a night - no way Jose, I will not be back. I discovered Holter Dam Campground a short drive away, and WOW, did I feel ripped when I realized what I could have had for less money right on the Missouri, which Prewett advertises it is , but isn't - the river is well across the street. The crabby old woman is still there to, she doesn't help give this place the tone it needs. It all could be nice with an injection of capital, rip out and haul away ALL the junk laying around - clean it up, add some basic facilities such as a few modern restrooms, and boy could this be a treasure. I'd pay 50 to 60 bucks a night here if the place warranted it. As I write this one week since our three day stay at Prewettt we're settled into one of the top rated parks in all of America for less money, and spectacular amenities, grounds, etc - Mountain Home, Idaho G7. We found Prewett to be a rough fishing camp at best, not an RV Park. I sincerely hope for a better future for you all servicing the modern Recreational traveller.

We picked a place at random . And this was it. Called ahead and Dave had a spot for us We missed it and had to turn around in the picnic area before the steel bridge. We got in the park and Dave met us in his golf cart and assisted us with parking.. He was very personable This park is nestled in canyon walls that border the Missouri River . Very scenic! No direct view of the river but still very nice. Deer roamed freely in the park. It was very quiet and relaxing . The pad was level and all services worked! I would comeback and recommend this park to others we camped in a 35 ft fifth wheel .

the Lady (she originally came from Seattle) from the Campground was very nice; she works, while her Husband is driving with his Harley..... This Place is beautyful nested between Rocks; very quiet and clean. We walked to the Tower Rock Statepark (round about 2 Miles on way) an earn a nice View to the Missouri.

The actual Inn was no longer open but Joan at the RV center handled everything we needed, from our lodging right down to the ice for our coolers. Great section of the Missouri River where it transitions from the plains to foothills. Guides available for fishing and lots of opportunities for sightseeing.

Joan was waiting for us when we arrived yesterday. She had preselected a site for us as she knew we were coming in for a visit with Cousins for a few days. Certainly not a fancy RV park with basic facilities at each site. Gravel, kinda. Laundry facilities and they say showers. We never use the public showers so I'm not in a position to comment, there.

phil and mary (the owners) are exceptional hosts. irrespective of need, they will do their utmost to pamper you during your stay. the on-premises fly shop is complete with everything imaginable, including food and snacks to boot. i have been staying there for many years, with expectations for many more. FYI: phil is an expert flyfisherman who is always willing to share his secrets.

Nice place to stay for fly fishing the Missouri River in Montana. Rustic place, but worked well at the end of a long day of cold fishing. We rented the Back Eddy Cottage for the three of us and had plenty of room for our gear and beer. The proprietors are really nice and will go out of the way o make you feel comfortable. Great access to the river across the road and a good fly shop. Phil Camera is a wealth of fly fishing knowledge and has plenty of good stories once he opens up. Beautiful scenary abounds...

We stumbled upon the Prewett Creek Inn by taking a wrong turn, after dark, in the middle of a loooong road trip. Prewett Creek Inn caters to fly fishermen. Phil was kind enough to take us in and we were so happy to be there. The accomodations are simple, basic, clean. We stayed in a room that had a shared bath with one of their guides. This is a comfy place to sleep and launch into whatever outdoor activities you have planned, whether it's fly fishing, boating on the Missouri River. (which is right across the street). Or, in our case, continuing on a long, adventurous road trip. I was reminded that fisherman get up early, when I was awakened by some early preparations outside. It wasn't a horrible way to wake up, though. There's a local herd of deer that like to hang out on the property, too. The owners, Phil & Joan, are nice people.
