Wow. We stayed at West Fork last September (2018). I forgot to write a review, so will do one now. We are scheduled for a return trip this coming September, because we were so pleased. Quiet, and comfortable. RV and tent sites are clean, level and accommodating to these folks. We stayed in a cabin, which had everything we needed. Quaint and comfortable, and ready for an extended stay. Staff was helpful and prompt in assisting us. If you fish, the river is just a few steps away. Fishing right near the resort is as good as anywhere on the river. Montana Fish and Game were electro-shocking to check fish populations while we were there. Results showed over 4,000 fish per mile. Best place we've seen on the upper river. Central location. Fish on! Cabin on! Peace and quiet on!…
My wife and I stayed here for three nights. The cabin (#11) was clean and well maintained, the bed was very comfortable and had a nice view. Everything we needed was provided, towels, soap, dishes, microwave, full stove/oven and fridge. The water from the tap even tasted good! There is a BBQ grill outside with supplied charcoal and lighter. From the front porch, the view was spectacular, mountains with snowy peaks. The grounds were also very nice. The staff and other guests were friendly and pets are welcome. Our dog had as much fun as we did! The camp is in a great location, right between the West fork and the Main Madison river. We spent so much time exploring that fishing never happened, although it was probably the draw for many guests. Highly recommended!
Great stay in a classic Montana cabin. The furnishings are rustic but they had a kitchenette with everything we needed. The shower was newly remodeled also. The double queen is an excellent value. By far the best part of this place is the location. You are a few minutes walk away from the Madison. Wading or floating, you are close to all the good fishing here. Real cabins for real fishermen.
We just spent a week at West Fork. Our extended family all met there. We could get every accommodation we needed. We had 3 tent sites, an RV site, and 2 cabins. The tent sites were huge, totally level and rock and twig free--a rarity in tent camping! There was a huge open grassy area where the kids could run and play, fly a kite, laugh, and have fun. They loved it! A day trip into Yellowstone Park was easy. Barb and Chuck were wonderful, helpful hosts and make you feel like you are part of the family. The cabins had the basics of what you needed, and I was able to cook our of a small one for 16 people. I did bring my own large pots and pans, and we ate at picnic tables in the tenting area. Worked great for us. I highly recommend it!
Had a great time visiting and staying with Chuck and Barb at the West Fork. They are really great people who seem to enjoy what they do. We love the cabins and the cinnamon rolls. Always rest well and love the proximity to the river.
