First, Big Sky is, in general, an expensive lodging location. As we wanted to stay in the higher village area for the one night we were there, and as we didn't want to pay the amount a more famous neighboring hotel wanted, we settled for this historic property. Reviews were mixed, but we were totally happy with our stay here.... More

I stayed here on business. The service personnel were all so very friendly and helpful. Everyone refers to it as an old hotel, but that was not my experience at all. The room was quite large and comfortable with a view of Lone Peak. It was easily accessible to a couple of chair lifts to different elevations. The spa in... More

They have a great breakfast that came with the price of the room. But good lord the room was not nice. Chipped flooring, hair dryer didn't work, and the noise. Wow the noise. The people above me weren't being loud but I could hear every word and every step made the whole ceiling creak. The lodge is rundown and cheesy.... More

I recently stayed at the Huntley for a three day event we held up in Big Sky. I stayed on the second floor and although the room was dated, it was comfortable. There isn't air conditioning, luckily it was cooler when I was there, so I left the windows open to at least get some fresh air in the room.... More

you will see some harsh reviews - so maybe I am more forgiving. The Huntley is pretty much the same as it always has been since the 1980s (and likely since it was built in the 1970s). Some people appreciate the nostalgia and some don't. I tend to appreciate the way things were. The rooms are not silent at night... More

I've stayed here several times since the 1970s. I have now stayed for my last time. Rooms are dated. Sofa is old. Carpet is old. Windows are stained. Window shades are those plastic drapes with several gaps where there are missing pieces. Feels like a $50 room at some mom and pop motel. Service at dining was poor. At $500+/night... More

We arrived at the Huntley building for a three day stay and entered our nice 3rd floor room. It was about 100 degrees inside, with the sun blasting in. Looking everywhere for the air conditioning controls, we couldn't find it, so we called the front desk. Oh, they said, the Huntley has no air conditioning. Huh?!?!? A modern, expensive hotel... We stayed at Huntley Lodge this past week for 3 nights to attend a wedding. We found the setting in Big Sky Resort to be great, and the lobby of the lodge was very nice. The people working at the lodge were all friendly, helpful and seemed to really enjoy living and working in Big Sky. We were a little... More

We were here for a conference. This hotel is relatively dog friendly. We were placed in first floor room near an exit. All of the decor is outdated, but our dog friendly room also had very old carpeting. It looked like carpet in other rooms had been replaced. Dogs are limited to a rather small outside area, and are not... More

The Huntley Lodge is located right on the slopes of Big Sky in front of Lone Mountain. The location is very good, easy access to chairs. The lodge itself is quite old one of the first hotels in Big Sky. The rooms are outdated, small bathrooms, small shower, no air conditioning. Beds were hard. Bedding was OK. Limited views.
