Detailed Reviews
My husband and I were at the Wildwood Hotel 2 nights for the Mathis/Reed Wedding. This hotel is beautiful and the service was amazing. From the greeting when we walked in the door till our goodbye. The guest room was impeccable and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, very soft.
Plenty of closet space.

I stayed one night at the Wildwood after a trip to Six Flags. This hotel will be added to my list of "go-to" hotels. The surrounding area is very charming. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. Each staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel as though we were valued as guests.
Due to covid, the hotel had extra safety measures in place and a mask is required in all common areas. For example, you are required to check in with the front desk before entering the pool area. Also, the normal breakfast offering is not provided at this time. There are sundry items available for purchase if desired.
We stayed in a king room with sofa. The room was just a basic room but it was decorated nice and very clean. The bed was the most amazing part of the room! It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. It really did feel like I was laying on a huge cloud.
Make sure that you bring your own personal care products. Most of us are used to lotions, extra soaps, shower caps, etc. However, those are not provided (or at least were not in my room).
The pool was a normal hotel sized pool. There was not an overpowering smell of chlorine like some hotels have. One down side was the hot tub was broken (other reviews mention previous issues with this).
Overall, this was a great hotel for a great price. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.

Our family group stayed here Apr 29-30, 2023, and had a wonderful experience. Our room was on the 4th floor with a balcony, was well-appointed, and very clean. The beds were comfortable. I commend the integrity of the housekeeping staff, and the front desk, especially - one of our party left his earbuds behind, and the hotel called me immediately to let me know and make arrangements to send them back to our home. This is an exceptional hotel and you won't be disappointed!

This hotel is a below average hotel with aging furnishings. Our room was not serviced once during a 3 night stay but housekeeping brought up fresh towels when we called. The Fitness center was in terrible shape without any weights and stained flooring. The Bed was quite soft and bouncy, not great for sleeping. The complimentary breakfast was not worth having and we went to the Sunny Hill Cafe in the nearby shopping center for a decent breakfast. The adjacent parking garage was convenient and you could walk to Movie theater, a couple of restaurants and Starbucks here in Wildwood.

Hotel is in nice, safe location. However, due to covid restrictions (they say), there is no maid service. You have to make your own bed and pick up your towels and sheets at desk. Used linens and trash has to be set outside room. This makes it an extremely low value for the money. We did not know this in advance or we would never have stayed here. It is part of a vacation to not have to deal with own domestic chores. Better double check before making reservations.

We stayed here two nights while visiting family. The place looks amazing from the outside and is in a "village" of shops, eateries, and even a movie theater. Free parking was everywhere and easy to get in and out of the hotel. There is an awesome walking trail very close by and it was in a very safe area. The rooms were very nice and we had no issues. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful and asked if we needed anything. Breakfast was as expected, since it was not busy it was grab and go, microwaveable items, but there was a waffle maker. Coffee and Juices too. We would definitely stay here again if we were back in town. Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

On Sunday June 19th my husband and I checked into The Wildwood Hotel for our two year wedding anniversary. We thought it would be nice to get away for a night, but boy were we wrong. This Hotel used to be extremely nice and clean, it now appears run down with several holes in the carpeting, musty smells in the hallway and even broken glass on the pool room window. We were willing to overlook these items and still headed up to our room. Sometime in the night, the sheet came untucked from the bed revealing a large blood stain on the mattress protector, down the box spring and on to the floor. Since it was concealed previously by the sheet I unknowingly slept on top of someone else's blood. Appalled, my husband and I immediately went down to check out and notify the front desk staff. When shown a photo they offered no resolution just a half hearted, sorry about that. We paid $353 to sleep on a biohazard bed and have our issue dismissed by staff. We were promised a clean hotel room and didn't receive that. We were promised customer service, but the lackluster uncaring response received was anything but. I reached out to Hotel Co directly and received no response. The hotel staff also have called my husband multiple times asking if we left a flask in the room, which we didn't but it tells me they did not clean the room prior to our arrival, if they had changed the sheets the blood would have been automatically visible. I have also contacted the BBB and not received a response from the owner.

The Wildwood Hotel is a beautiful place to stay near St. Louis. It's a great alternative to all those hotel chains along I-44. On one hand, the Wildwood Hotel seems to be surrounded by wooded countryside, living up to its name of Wildwood. On the other hand, it is located on a couple of major arteries of the St. Louis area, so it is conveniently located. The front-desk staff and the maid staff deserve shout-outs for their personal attention to each guest. Several good restaurant options are within walking distance. The neighborhood is exceptionally safe.

I have recommended this hotel to many coworkers when coming in town for meetings, the rate tends to beat most bigger hotel chains. It has a restaurant that I believe only serves breakfast (includes made to order waffles and omelets) but is very close to several restaurants that are walkable even by a mom with a stroller. it is about 2o ft from a very nice movie theater and has an indoor pool and covered parking garage. A Walgreens is also in the same Town Center. I have gotten a suite for a Christmas party and the staff was nice and easy to work with.

What an unexpected gem! I loved this hotel! The outside seemed like a large estate or small castle. It doesn't look like a typical hotel which adds to the charm! The suites were large and the beds extremely comfortable. Everything in the common areas and rooms were made to feel like you were at home. The breakfast was great too! I was just here one night on business but I would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

It is a hotel. The rooms open into an interior hallway.
No. Room service is NOT an option. There are restaurants close by...The one mentioned above is good but, very pricey! If you would travel just about 5-10 miles down 100/Manchester Rd, there are several moderate priced eating establishments.
No bar but lots of cool places around to eat or drink.
I believe check in is 3:00 pm and check out is either 11:00am or 12:00 pm.
Our room did not have a tub, but it was still nice n had romantic ambiance.
