Returned to the Brown Cow after a couple of years. A lot busier than our last visit! Great atmosphere, nice decor and tasty Sunday Lunch. Particularly impressed with the presentation of the Baileys cheesecake. Will be back sooner next time!

We arranged to meet at the Inn for lunch. As it was sunny we chose to sit outside but there was space inside. The menu choice was very good and didn't take very long to arrive. We all enjoyed our meals. My own fish was huge. The price was particularly reasonable. I'd definitely go again.

Called in for lunc, this place has clearly changed hands since we were last in, were greeted on entry by very friendly staff. Good selection of real ales on odder and a nice wine list. The food took some time to come, which was a good sign, both meals were obviously very fresh, and enormous. The quality was first class...

Heading to Sellafield we ate and stayed at the Inn,it's only 15 mile away, the food was excellent and the rooms are all en-suite with comfortable beds. When we came down for breakfast we got a huge plateful that i could not finish as i was still full from the night before. Thanks Gavin and Natasha for being good hosts

Our first visit under the new ownership. Everything was great. Very friendly pub that serves excellent local real ales and uses fresh local produce from farms and butchers in the area. Would recommend to locals in Cumbria but also visitors who are visiting West Cumbria. The drive and views up and down the west coast of southern Cumbria are spectacular.

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights, we were in The area for a friend's birthday. The hosts Tash and Gavin have only taken it over for 3 months and what a great job they are doing. On opening the door to the pub we were greeted by them and the customers with broad smiles and a genuine...

The Brown Cow changed hands last summer. Gavin and Natasha settled in immediately and they are doing a brilliant job, with the assistance of various family members - including their young children who never fail to entertain the punters. They have created a very friendly family atmosphere where visitors can join in the crack at the bar or find a...
