From the expansive, welcoming front porch to the beautiful backyard pool area, Gelbach Manor will exceed your expections. I could almost feel time slow as I enjoyed time with my family surrounded by history and comfort. The Wi-Fi certainly was not slow, however, which made remote work a breeze. The food was amazing and the hosts are lovely and engaging.

A beautifully restored Mansion. Ronda and Doug were wonderful and made us feel like family. the grounds are beautiful with great outdoor spaces to gather with friends or family. A nice pool with a water slide is included. If you are planning a visit to Warrensburg do not stay anywhere else.

This would be the perfect place for a couple, family or families to stay. I was on the 3rd floor with my 7, 2, and 8 mo old daughters and we had plenty of room with the comfortable king bed and a cot. The entire bed and breakfast is aesthetically pleasing and you feel right at home. I loved that there was a full kitchen for us to have to ourselves. The front porch was our main hang out for the 6 kiddos to play on during the rainy days. There is plenty of green space in the front and back yard for the kiddos as well. Easy to find and great parking areas. Downtown is two blocks away and we enjoyed a nice dinner one night and a morning at the farmer's market. We had organic sourdough scones from a mother of four boys and they were the best I've ever had! It was also strawberry season and they were sweet and juicy, a perfect healthy snack for us all. We walked to get bakery items at the Green Truck bakery-their crossaints are a delight for our drive home. Rhonda the owner was very attentive but always gave us our space. She answered texts or calls quickly, made sure we had any snack items we needed and helped us make decisions on things to do and places to eat. The entire place is immaculately kept; I couldn't find a speck of dust if I tried. The in-ground pool and seating area outside was a perfect retreat for our last day there (it was rainy otherwise, but we still had a great time utilizing the porch). All of the furniture and bedding was comfortable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a weekend getaway or visiting their college student. You won't be disappointed!

We really enjoyed staying at Gelbach Manor. Rhonda was very helpful and accommodating. The pool was wonderful, especially for the small kids. They have a waterslide and diving board. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the kitchenette was very convenient. We had some food sensitivities and she was able to accommodate us for the breakfast, which was very nice. We spent a lot of our time on the front porch, which was a perfect spot to gather. You can walk to town. We went to the farmers market on Saturday morning and even though it rained, we still enjoyed it. You have to try the sourdough scones. Amazing! We also enjoyed walking to the Green Truck Bakery. The cookies were okay, but the pastries were to die for! I loved the almond croissant. The last night we stayed we were able to order Chinese. Rhonda was very helpful suggesting places to order from and what options the places offered. The shops in town also looked great, but we had several small children, so we didn’t stop. We also noticed the University was a stone throw away, which would make the Manor a perfect spot for visiting parents of students. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this place!

Gelbach Manor is wonderful! My brother and I and our families (7 adults 2 kids) stayed at Gelbach Manor over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was the perfect set up - the beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, robes(!), and other amenities to make your stay comfortable. Rhonda and Doug were very gracious and accommodating hosts. We will definitely stay at Gelbach Manor when visiting family in Warrensburg! Thank you, Rhonda and Doug!

I stayed there for a conference held at the college, it was within walking distance of the college. The place was wonderful and the food was great, and the hostess was great. There are many places to eat that are within driving distance.

This was a great choice. A quiet good place to rest, the bed was very comfortable and bathrooms very clean. I did like how close the school, bars and restaurants were from the bed and breakfast. If I have the chance I will come back for sure.👍

Having to arrive late and leave early, I missed MUCH of what Gelbach Manor has to offer, which you can find at their website. But what I did experience was a warm greeting, a couple of tasty muffins bagged and ready for my all-too-early departure, and a very comfortable and well-appointed room. The B&B is located just a walk from downtown and the university, and I look forward to my next visit, which WILL be longer.

One of the best things about Gelbach Manor is the location. Walk a couple of blocks north and you are in downtown Warrensburg, Missouri with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. Walk a couple of blocks south and you are in the middle of the University of Central Missouri campus near the stadiums, athletic fields, dorms and the Student Union. The Manor itself is in great shape with four beautiful bedrooms with the most comfortable beds and access to two clean bathrooms. We had no issues sharing bathrooms with the other guests. The Maguire Suite on the top floor has a private bathroom. The guests have access to comfortable living areas inside the house and in the beautiful yard that even has a nice pool area and so much more. Breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there with eggs, french toast, biscuits and gravy and fresh fruit among the offerings. The Gelbachs were wonderful hosts and we had a great time celebrating homecoming weekend in their Manor.
