So relaxing with beautiful nature and warm hospitality!
My husband and I celebrated a wedding anniversary here and we had an outstanding time. We were there in early spring and the trees and flowers were beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the birds, squirrels and deer! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was incredible! It is not a continental breakfast but a FULL breakfast with delicious, hot food. The owner was so gracious and accommodating and we learned a lot about the history of Warrensburg and of the house itself. This is one of Warrensburg's treasures!

    Anniversary Getaway
My husband & I took an overnight getaway for our 11th anniversary. Our host was very gracious and her enclosed porch was a haven looking out on wildlife galore from deer to squirrels to birds. Perfect

Magical place tucked in the woods
What a wonderful experience: Comfortable king bed in a spacious room, a cooked-from-scratch breakfast and an interesting and accommodating host. Built in the 1930's, Cena's Nook has had only three owners. Our host, Deleta, had a wealth of information about Cena Christopher Draper, an accomplished author and original owner. A glass sunroom overlooking woods and wildlife, arched doorways, and, yes, a small kitchen nook where Cena composed her books. Something about it was . . . magical. The breakfast alone deserves an A rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cena's Nook!! We were in town for our oldest son's baseball tournament. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and now I will hold very high standards at any other place we stay. Our room was Bianca's room. A very large bedroom with a private bath. The king size bed was so comfortable. The towels were luxurious. There was ample closet space and storage in the dresser drawers was also available. All of that was amazing, but wait until you meet Deleta!! She is the sweetest, most charming woman! She gave us plenty of privacy, was was always available, if needed. The breakfast spread she cooked every morning was amazing, and my husband and I were not able to eat until dinner. The sunroom provided beautiful views of the grounds with deer, birds, squirrels, and raccoons within feet of our view. Wonderful conversation, amazing hospitality, and a beautiful home. You could not want for anything more! Deleta is now a friend for life, and we cannot wait to visit again!!

I came to visit my son at the Whiteman Airforce base and had the most amazing experience staying at Cena's nook. Through the whole visit I felt like a part of the loving family and I loved, loved loved the beautiful house with lots of history. I stayed at Bianca's room and it was gorgeous and I felt like royalty. The breakfast was delicious and the company was great! I enjoyed watching wild life and the goldfish at the pond. I felt like home for Holidays - beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. Can't wait to come back!!!

Our room was Bianca's Room. Very spacious and nicely appointed. The owner of the house was very gracious, and informative of the history of Cena Christopher Draper and her family. The breakfast was tremendous and delicious. The view from the windows was fantastic and very relaxing. There were deer galore, along with all kinds of birds and squirrels. This was a wonderful place to stay, tucked away with woods all around.

My husband and I recently spent the day at Cena's Nook for a Writers' Workshop. What a beautiful setting, interesting history and comfortable accommodations. Cena's Nook is close to everything but sits on the edge of Warrensburg where it merges with the forested side of Pertle Springs owned by University of Central Missouri.
