I was heading east towards the Mississippi River doing some exploring and I pulled into Unionville, Missouri looking for a place to stay. I spotted this little motel and decided to turn around. There was a number on the door so I called it and the owner came down and set us up with a room. It was an all around wonderful experience. The owner, a local family, was tremendous, the room was remodeled and very comfortable and most importantly dog friendly. It was also VERY reasonably priced. If your traveling down Highway 136 in Missouri and need a place to stay this is it! The other wonderful thing is the owner has a shuttle bus, I bus, I guess there are some wedding venues around town and he has a way to transport people to and from the venue.

Room Tip: We had a room on the north side, but I don't think you can go wrong with any rooms.

We had a very nice stay at the Alamo Inn. There is not a lot of choice in the area, and they allowed dogs, which was how we found it. It was obviously completely updated recently. Everything looked new. The room was large. There was a nice rain shower shower head. There is no breakfast or ice machine, but it was close enough to a place where we could get ice and we knew they wouldn't have breakfast. It is a small motor lodge type of place. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

I booked a room online, received an email saying it is booked and when I called to double check I was told they don’t book online and it says in the website and it doesn’t say it anywhere on the site.

I arrived at the Alamo later in the evening on the night of my stay and Kelly had already set the thermostat on the temperature I had requested, after he called to confirm my approximate arrival time. I enjoyed virtual check-in with my receipt emailed immediately. The finishings in the room are very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was top notch. I will absolutely stay here again when I am in the area.

I always receive fantastic service from Kelly. There are many upgrades since I last visited. I'm thrilled to see this property get the love it deserves. My personal favorite upgrade is the nifty charging cube. Loved being able to charge several devices at once without having to hunt for outlets.
