Our family (and a spare kid) stayed en route to the 2017 eclipse. We were in unit 2 with the upstairs bedroom and the kids enjoyed having their own space (and TV). Having the sitting area/kitchen separate from both bedrooms made it feel so much larger than even a suite in a regular hotel. Everything was in great shape and very clean. My wife and I both wish we could find a similar place in our other travels. Definitely worth going out of the way for with a larger family, especially given the very reasonable price.

This is a gem of a hotel accommodation in Unionville, MO. Clean spacious bedroom, modern TV, screaming fast internet at a very affordable rate. Very friendly owners with a welcoming attitude- you have to visit to experience it first hand

I recently attended a wedding at the lake and stayed at the square view. Although a little apprehensive booking online in a small Missouri town in an independent hotel I was very pleasantly surprised. Kelly, the owner, runs a neat, clean and well stocked hotel. The room I had, #3, had a loft bedroom and a huge living room and kitchen. Its even across the street from the local saloon, Russ's and around the corner from a great cafe. All in all it was a wonderful surprise.

Called a week or two before visit, no big deal to reserve room. Arrived and called the owner and he promptly arrived to unlock the door. I was expecting a regular hotel room - nope MUCH MORE! It is basically a small apartment in a turn of the century building with modern touches. Large TV, WIFI, full kitchen with utensils, two bedrooms, one bath. Even real coffee, not hotel blah coffee. Easy to find, right off the square in Unionville, with parking right outside door. Would highly recommend this place, especially when in an area where there are not many good options. I stayed in Kirksville last night at a Holiday Inn and I wish I would of drove up and stayed at the Square View Inn two nights instead of one.
