We have been vacationing at Lake of the Ozarks for 34 yrs, we have stayed in many resorts. This was are 7th year at Sunset Inn Resort. We keep returning because it is great for for families with kids of all ages. We choose this resort 7 years ago because we had 2 babies, a 3 yr old, an 8 yr old and a 12 yr old. There is a pool, lake swimming dock and playground. The parents could enjoy the pool and lake view while the babies were napping. Now our kids are older, we keep going back because every year the owners, The Brenon's, make updates and improvements to the property - Event Center, landscaping etc. Always a great vacation!

Stayed here for a week last summer with the wife and two kids and loved this place. We stayed in a two bedroom next to the boat slips, and a short walk to the pool. The cabin was clean and spacious and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner each day. Full size fridge and oven and charcoal grills made preparing food quite easy. The location on the water was great we could get in the boat and be at one of several restaurants within minutes, captains rons and Larry's on the lake being a couple of our favorites with the kids. It was also fun to run down the niangua to HaHa tonka. And if the water got to rough we could just head back to the cabin and watch the other boats from the patio. The owner was a super nice guy and very helpful. I don't remeber just how far but there was a very nice grocery store not to far away for whatever items you might need there. Nice covered boat slips can be rented and are only feet away from the cabins. We have a 26 foot boat and fit ok, not great but good enough. Can't wait to go stay again!

AMAZING family run resort. Have been coming here for a few years now. Many different cabins/houses to accommodate different size groups. Tons to do, great location. A true hidden gem. One of the best.

Went there in early August. The ac didn’t work in the bedroom and the owners Mindy and Will didn’t fix it and it needed to be replaced. They knew this a week prior to our arrival. There were plenty of ants in the kitchen. The jet ski dock was in disarray and needed repair. The pool chairs and loungers were disgusting. We have gone there the prior 2 years and the property has been deteriorating. No one present to monitor the unruly kids that needed to be supervised because of there age. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Had a wonderful stay! Great boating week! Event was run well and we had the best view of the races. Cabin was clean and had all the necessities except towels. Remember to bring hand towels bath and kitchen towels.
