We stayed recently at the Angler's Lodge when the Final Four basketball games were going on. My grandson loved the pool and hot tub. Rooms and facilities were clean. It is located conveniently across the street from the large Bass Pro show and aquarium. The staff was amazing!

The room was very nice and clean, however, very small moving space for my husband's wheelchair, although it was a "handicap accessible" room, it was not very accessible for moving around the room or to the side of the bed for getting in/out of wheelchair. I had to push him backwards to the bathroom as there was not enough space to turn the wheelchair around from bedside. Staff was great and very helpful. The breakfast sandwich was hot and delicious, and brought at the time we requested, which was very nice. The handicap door opener on the outside of the building did not work, which made it very challenging for me to get my husband in/out with his walker and/or wheelchair. The staff helped hold the door open when they were there and saw us, but otherwise, we had to maneuver the heavy door on our own. No one understands how difficulty this is unless you have tried to push a wheelchair for someone, while trying to open a door and hold it until you both get through. Only the indoor button worked, when going from the lobby to parking area. Overall, I was happy with our stay, but was disappointed for the price that there was neither a microwave or fridge in our room. I should have asked about this before booking, but did not.

What am amazing weekend!!! From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. Chynna, the front desk clerk, was so friendly and helpful. Our room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast is limited due to CoVid-19 but you are given a menu when you check in so you can order for the next morning. You order and tell them what time to deliver it and they bring it hot and fresh to your room. The night clerk, Carol, was also very helpful and friendly. We bought a package that included 2 tickets for Wonders of Wildlife for $198.00 plus tax and would highly recommend this deal to anyone coming to Springfield.

One of, if not the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. I would definitely stay here again when in Springfield on business. For the price, location, and proximity of BASS Pro Shop and the Aquarium alone, it is well worth it.

Was so excited to stay at this hotel. Perfect location for what we were doing for the weekend. Celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. You could hear every car, motorcycle, truck drive by. You could hear people walking, shutting doors, taking showers, flushing toilets. The walls must be paper thin. Didn’t get much sleep. We definitely wont be staying here again. I would be ashamed to have Bass Pro on my sign. We were going to stay at another hotel but this was $20 cheaper a night. Wishing we would have spent the extra money. So much for a 34th wedding anniversary weekend at this hotel.

We have stayed at Big Cedar Lodge many times, so when we decided to spend a weekend in Springfield and go to Wonders of Wildlife, we booked Angler's Lodge in hopes that it was being held to the same standard of quality that we have come to expect from Johnny Morris properties. We were sadly let down. First and foremost, when I called to book, my first question was "Do you have a hot tub?". It was our #1 priority when choosing the hotel. The booking agent assured us that the property had a hot tub. When we check in, I look into the pool area and see cones around the hot tub. When I ask about it, the front desk clerk informs me that the hot tub has been broken "for weeks" and they don't know if they will be able to fix it. When I tell her that I specifically asked about the hot tub, she rolled her eyes and said "Well, you didn't talk to me. You probably called Big Cedar when you booked and they have no idea what's happening around here". I know the hot tub being broken and the misinformation we were given isn't her fault, but she didn't offer up any apology or concern at all and just handed us the room key dismissively which I found a bit off-putting and was not a good way to kick off our family weekend.
Our room location was nice, we requested to be close to the pool and hot tub and they accommodated us. Our view out the window was a privacy fence, but that wasn't a big deal to us. We were still a little irritated by the lack of a hot tub and the unfriendly front desk attendant, and were even more disappointed when we saw the room. It was so tiny! We have stayed in dozens of hotels in Springfield over the years and we couldn't believe that $200 a night bought you such a tiny room. We almost checked out and looked for another hotel to stay in, but it was already after 6 when we checked in and we were going to WoW the next morning, so we decided to just tough it out and maybe find something else the next day.
We decided to make the best of things and take my daughter to the pool since that was the reason we asked for a room close by. We get to the small pool, my daughter jumps in and it is ice cold. No wonder there was nobody but us at the pool in a hotel filled with families. We stayed for about 15 minutes hoping that my daughter acclimate to the temperature, but she couldn't take it anymore so we left. While we were there, two other families with small children tried the pool and gave up too. On the way out, one of the parents asked the front desk clerk if the water was always that cold, to which she simply replied "yes".
All in all we still had a good time in Springfield. WoW was great and the breakfast that was included with the hotel was excellent (the breakfast staff and the food is the only thing that kept me from a 2 star rating), and we had some fun activities while in Springfield. The gummy worms in the room were a nice touch. I'm sure we'll be back to WoW, we'll probably just book a different hotel.

We chose this property based on the proximity to Wonders of Wildlife Museum. Easy to find and location was great. Check in was easy and both desk attendants were friendly and gave recommendations for dining in Spfld and Branson (our next stop). Gym was open and had dumbbells but needed a little more free space. Breakfast was delivered to our room due to COVID and arrived promptly at time requested and tasted great. Rooms were typical of a hotel room - could use some updates in the bathrooms as space was limited to give two toddlers a bath. Upon leaving we did see another guest that had their car windows broken in to, so I suggest locking and taking in all valuables.

We changed our original plans to stay at Anglers Lodge. That was a mistake! The so called lodge is nothing more than a basic hotel comparable to a Motel 6 at more than double the price! The decor was anything rustic. The room was small with an old worn leather chair. The pool and jacuzzi were also very small. Due to covid you must fill in a sheet of paper for breakfast which cereal, muffin, and yogurt were your only choices. I understand the circumstances, but a hot meal would be nice. Go to McDonalds right next door you will get much better breakfast than what was offered. If Bass Pro Shop is going to advertise a lodge, they really need to step up and build a much better facility. This place is way over priced for what you get. The price is only for the name! A pure disappointment!

Took a weekend road trip to Bass Pro for my daughter's birthday and chose to stay here. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. It is right across the street from the Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium and Bass Pro headquarters. The breakfast was really good as well. My only issue was the pool. My two young kids love to swim and were really looking forward to it. That was the first thing we did after checking in but the water temperature was very cold. I heard several other guests mention it as well. I asked the front desk attendant about it and she said it was actually warmer than it was supposed to be so because of that I don't plan on staying here again. We planned on that being a big part of our weekend but my kids were really disappointed. The hot tub was also out of order while we were there. If you don't plan on swimming, then it would be a great place to stay. If you are looking for a warm(ish) indoor pool, I would look somewhere else.

It was older but nice hotel. Didn't realize that I needed ADA room till after we were already there and had rooms upstairs above the lobby which forced my hubby to take elevator clear down at the end of the hallway or walk the stairs which he soon found out that it was easier and closer to use stairs with the help of railings on both sides of the stairs. They had a pool and hot tub and they had a full breakfast from 6-10 am everyday for those that lodged with them. We did add on our record should we stay again in the future that we would need one of their ADA rooms on first floor.

its next to a fairly busy road and most of it can be seen from the front desk, but is not well lit
I agree that there is no shuttle but it is an easy walk. if you need to drive, you can easily cross over from one parking lot to the other and there is plenty of parking close to the doors.
