We stayed at this hotel due to an event being held at the convention center. Overall the hotel was in good shape and did work for our 3 night stay. We went in knowing that changes were in place due to Covid and did try our best to be understanding. One thing that bothered me was lack of housekeeping services. I didn't expect it every day, but at least once during our stay would have been nice. We ran out of towels and had to order some daily. No one ever took the dirty ones so they just piled up in the bathroom along with our trash bins. One night of our stay the toilet became clogged and overflowed. I called the front desk and someone did come by about 30 minutes later to fix it. However, he didn't take the dirty towels around the toilet or ask if someone needed to come up to clean it up. These towels were added to the pile in our room and I ordered more from the front desk. Another issue we had was the temperature in the room. No matter what we had the thermostat on, the heat continued to come on constantly. I called the front desk on the first night to ask how to fix it. She suggested I turn it to fan so it would pull in the cool air from outside. This did work to cool the room down, but as soon as I turned it off from fan, the room instantly heated up again. We both slept in shorts and not even a sheet to cover up due to the temp. My guess it was close to 80 in the room. I did ask for someone to check it out the next morning and am not sure if this happened or not. The off button on the unit didn't work so you had to have it on either fan, heat, or cool. One last thing, our bathroom had some minor wear and tear. The tub stopper was broke and just left laying in the tub. The door hanger was missing and someone had put some tasteless white tape over it in effort to hide it. It was tacky and looked like a child had tried to cover up a mistake. Overall, I was disappointed in this hotel to a degree, but was thankful for the proximity of it to our event. Hopefully the conditions will improve after the Covid chaos has calmed down.

The room we had was clean. Obviously aging a bit with some minor cosmetic touches needing some attention. This had a decent price for the accommodations and location. Within walking distance of the Arch and many eateries. Has parking available if needed. Overall would stay again.

First off let me say I did not intend to post a review of this property on tripadvisor, I am an IHG member and frequently review on their website. However as this review trends negative I was shocked to be sent an email from IHG saying they would not post my review unless I edit/censor it to remove what they said was "legally sensitive content". So since they refused to post my review here it is for the audience of this website instead... This was my 4th stay at this property and my 1st since COVID. Some changes I noticed right away are that you cannot walk inside the lobby, you have to be buzzed in. I assume this is to limit people in the lobby. Check in was pretty normal, they do have plexiglass shields but no touchless options I still had to hand my credit card over and sign a piece of paper with a pen sitting on the counter. Lots of hand sanitizer placed around the lobby and elevators. The room itself did not have any identifying items or notes to show it had been cleaned any different than normal. Our bathtub drain would not close so no bath was possible. I can only hope the remote was at least wiped down as it was just sitting out. The staff I did encounter were pleasant, especially the two working the desk Friday night. We were disappointed to see the restaurant is closed as we had been planning on ordering takeout for dinner. They did give us a printout of restaurants locally that we could order from instead. Coffee was advertised as being free in the lobby in the AM but when I went to get a cup it ended up being the same Keurig that we already had in the room so nothing special there. Finally - we need to talk about the parking situation. It's the biggest issue at this hotel as you have to self park in a unstaffed gated lot the next block over. In the past it has not been that much of an issue but this year it was. I parked the car and as soon as I got out a guy across the street was yelling and swearing at another guy, lots of threats. It made me very nervous having to walk out of the parking lot even just to make the short walk to the hotel with this going on right in front of me. Later that night after having to step out to pick up food I ended up running over an empty beer bottle that had been tossed in the parking lot when I returned to it. I understand that the hotel can't control all of this, but still based on this I would not feel comfortable returning to the hotel by myself, let alone with my family. One additional edit - When we were leaving in the morning we walked by two rooms being cleaned by two separate housekeepers, and neither were wearing a mask. If we can't depend on the very people entrusted to clean our rooms to adhere to the rules and keep us safe how can we have any confidence in management at this property?

I’m a traveling nurse, check in was great. Clerk asked if I had booked a two bed room. “I told her I had booked for single queen bed and was the only person. She kindly checked me in. Then I went to my room she gave me room with two beds. Mind you it was after 8 when I checked in. I called down to desk, she apologized and brought me up a different room key. Went into different room, unpacked and sat on bed. Pulled bedspread back found sheets hadn’t been changed, showing large stain in middle of bed. I called down to front desk again. Lady at front desk stated “We don’t have house keepers at this time.” Then said nothing about changing sheets. Or even to make right. I had to ask if she could bring me some sheets and I would change myself. Instead of asking if she could change sheets for me she just dropped off sheets. Then found out that I couldn’t set thermostat because it was on different area and they could only change thermostat in double bed rooms . Then she said “ I can put you back in a double bed room.” I said so I’m just going to freeze my ass all night. I just told her that I wouldn’t come back again. She acted like she didn’t give a crap. I have traveled many places this was the worse.

I stayed at this property in the midst of the COVID 19 outbreak and the staff went out of their way to ensure that the stay was as comfortable as possible. Marcus, Cindy and Luis were standouts and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. Even though social distancing was practiced, I was made to feel unwelcome and even though there’s a lot of anxiety about contracting the virus, they were as personable and accommodating as they could be under the circumstances. The property was spotless and proof that the housekeeping staff worked diligently to provide guests with a clean and sanitized environment. My room was spacious with an amazing bed and just the right of shower pressure. It made showering and lounging the highlights of my day. The WiFi was fast and reliable and there were no issues with any of the electronics in my room. I can’t speak to the location or restaurant. With everything being closed, I didn’t get to eat there or walk around the area. What I did get was a 5 star experience from an amazing staff that showed their commitment to their guests in every way possible. I highly recommend this property and praise the staff for their commitment to service.
