One of the loveliest and most comfortable inns we have ever visited. The beds are fantastic, the sheets top quality, the room quiet and well-ventilated without the hotel smell (even the nicest hotels have an intentional smell) or annoying ventilation system. Multiple thoughtful details are placed throughout the home, too many to mention. I didn’t want to leave, and I can’t wait to come back!

My husband surprised me with an anniversary get-away-from-the-pandemic stay at The Fleur-de-Lys Mansion. Leslie was more than welcoming & assured us that they have taken extra precautions/cleaning and we felt very comfortable and not at all concerned. But, the best part of our stay was our breakfast. Mark cooked THE BEST breakfast that I have ever had, and that's saying a lot since we are avid travelers & foodies! We enjoyed our stay & you will, too! Thank you, Leslie & Mark.

Due to the Virus we were looking to do something local to celebrate our Anniversary. We found Fleur-de-lys Mansion from a Google Search of "Best B&B's in STL." 100% correct! Stunning renovation, outstanding location, and charming hosts made for a memorable stay. Whether you are looking for a quality "stay-cation" or would like to show visitors a STL "gem", this is the place to go.

My sister and I decided to travel to St Louis amid the Covid crisis due to family matters. We are no spring chickens but otherwise in good health. We wanted to stay in a B&B due to my concerns about central air conditioning systems in large hotels. My search on booking sites led me to a B&B very close to where the family activities where planned. However, the booking sites claimed there were no rooms available. Just in case the booking sites had it wrong, I picked up the phone and called Fluer de Lys Mansion. There were openings and I learned to call the inn keeper regardless of the booking site information. We spent two nights at Fluer de Lys Mansion with Mark and Leslie. As other reviewers have noted the inn is immaculately clean, beautifully detailed with large rooms and everything you would expect at this price point. The extremely pleasant tipping points are the wonderful breakfasts and Mark & Leslie themselves. Homemade sour dough bread from a fifteen-year-old starter (makes a difference) and wonderful yogurt (from someone who is not normally a fan). They even accommodated my sister’s gluten sensitivities in the chocolate chip pancakes for adults which were surprisingly complex and wonderful. Delightful surprises at every breakfast. Mark and Leslie are extremely warm people who want your stay to be marvelous, memorable and bring a smile. Mission accomplished. Kudos!

We picked this luxury bed & breakfast for a short weekend getaway over the July 4th weekend and were not disappointed. The owners were so nice, welcoming and hospitable. They went out of their way to make our time there memorable. Their attention to details did not go unnoticed, from the towel origami, complimentary coffee, tea and fresh chocolate chip cookies, background music during breakfast, china and real silver, and so much more. Do not be turned away by the location of this gem. There are a lot of large, beautiful homes in the area, but there are also some sketchy homes interspersed. We felt completely safe and the property was well maintained and secure. When we arrived on Friday night, we enjoyed the fruit and cheese plate and champagne in our room along with the large vase of summer flowers that I had added on as extra options to our stay. So worth it! Later that night, we took Leslie's recommendation for dinner at Charlie Gitto's on the Hill, and it was perfect. The breakfasts that Mark prepared were outstanding! We loved every bite, and it was apparent how much he loved cooking them for us. His training as a chef was evident, because there wasn't one misstep in the preparation or presentation. My wife and I are foodies, and we were totally impressed! We stayed in the largest bedroom, the Tower Grove Park room. The bed was so soft and we slept like babies . . . even though fireworks were going off throughout the night. The cotton sheets were so soft and silky, that we ended up buying an extra set from them to take home for ourselves. On Saturday morning, we took advantage of the complimentary tickets to the Missouri Botanical Garden, and it was spectacular. Afterward, we visited St. Charles, MO and then returned back to the Fleur-de-Lys where we asked Mark for a recommendation for pizza. We picked up a pizza at Guidos Pizza & Tapas, and again, were not disappointed. When we returned with our pizza, they had set our breakfast table and provided us with a beer, a glass of wine and a couple brownies for dessert. After we finished, we relaxed in the front parlor and had some complimentary brandy. We hated to leave after another amazing breakfast on Sunday morning. Before we left, we bought a gift certificate for our daughter and son-in-law for their first anniversary, but we might just have to keep it for ourselves (just kidding)! We'll definitely return to the Fleur-de-Lys whenever we return to St. Louis, and we'll be recommending it everyone we know! Thanks for a memorable weekend getaway to St. Louis, Mark and Leslie! We hope to return soon!!
