This lovely little lodge is far enough outside St Louis to feel "away from it all" We arrive here much earlier than expected and welcomed in. Our room was The Frontier room which had a small balcony. See photos for just how cute this place is. They will bring you drinks to your room. Breakfast is great. You might be seated with other guests if you arrive at the same time. There were only two room booked out that night so it was very peaceful. There are no tea or coffee in the rooms but we were able to help ourselves out of the Kitchen if we wanted.

We stayed in the Lincoln room. It's really, really pretty. We appreciated the wine & cheese left for us, and breakfast downstairs the next morning was quite good. Unfortunately our jacuzzi would only fill once- the hot water heater could not keep up with it. There's just a curtain separating the sleeping area from the bathroom, and after being together almost 20 years, that's still a bit more togetherness than we'd like to have. You could also reach both the main door and sliding glass doors on our room from the street, parking lot & rest of the establishment, so it didn't seem very private. Maybe it's a building code, but it seemed odd to us. We could also hear the highway the entire time. The garbage trucks rolled in at about 3 am on a Saturday morning and slammed dumpsters

We spent our 15th Wedding Anv. there and it was perfect. I can't say enough good things about it. The staff is awesome. And the whole lodge is so clean. The staff leaves at night so the guests have the place to their own. We are planning to stay there again this fall.

WOW!!! Who would have thought that such a beautiful rustic lodge would be located so close to Downtown St. Louis. This place is amazing. Each of the bedrooms is decorated in a different theme and the Great Room which is a common area is like something you would find in any mountain ski resort. We satyed in the Alaska room with a four post log bed and all the decor you would find in Alaska. Our room like all of the rooms has it's own bathroom and fireplace which is not common in all B&B's. Very Romantic and we only had to travel about 15 minutes from home to share a weekend we will not soon forget. It also has a nice gift shop and the breakfast was wonderful. Our hosts were very pleasant and made us feel right at home!
