We stayed 2 nights, from the time we checked in the staff was so helpful. From the Valet, front desk, wait staff, housekeeping. These people really stood out. Ashley, Brittany, Antoinette, Judy, and Danita. We always love a Westin, yes this is an old one, but still has the Westin qualities. One thing I did miss the white tea smell of a Westin. Thank you hope to return some day. Trisha Kot
Natasha, the manager was amazing. She made us feel very welcome. She is a STL native and she provided us with an insight of what to do around the area. This is our favorite hotel, close to everything.
I love this place. The manager Natasha was great. She gave us alot of info regarding st louis and things to do. Natasha was covering for the bartender who was off sick. She provided excellent service. This is my favorite hotel in th stl area. It's top notch. Dr H
The hotel was whatever. It's right next to the ballpark for better or worse. But they will charge elite members for Internet even when it is clearly free as part of the terms and conditions. No problem, you say, they'll just take it off the bill. Sadly, that is not the case. I am currently five phone calls and four promises over three weeks in and still it remains on my bill. I just want to do my expense report. Even if you call Bonvoy service to help, they will still send you another bill with internet on it. Good luck!
Great stay with a few hiccups. I found this Westin perfectly acceptable. (I’m titanium elite with Marriott and I travel for work weekly. ) the club Lounge was good and it was open on Friday night and Saturday morning which isn’t always the case at Marriotts. . Two issues- only one elevator was working which was extremely problematic at checkin and check out times. We waited for ages after the Cardinals game & also on the morning. The other issue is the parking lot across the street- smash & grabs. I had read reviews with this warning so we paid extra to valet. I’m so glad we did because we saw a car pull into the drive with a smashed window as we were checking out. They had parked in the self parking across the street. Do yourself a favor & valet. The valets were kind and friendly and very responsive.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Westin. The location was perfect, not only for baseball goers (literally across the street) but also to the other downtown attractions which are easily walkable. The room was spacious and well appointed with a number of nice niche touches. Such a comfortable sleep, I wanted to bring the mattress home with me. And the staff were stellar, cordial and anxious to solve any problems and to make your stay sublime. I told my hubby, this was my best hotel stay since the pandemic began. So many hotels still do not have full services. This one was a delight.
This place used to be a good choice for downtown. No longer. Every aspect of the stay was such a disappointment that we checked out early and stayed elsewhere. They must have new management because the difference in the level of service from just a couple of years ago is incredible. It’s basically the service you would get at a roadside motel now. Some examples: - Our room was filthy when we checked in even though housekeeping had clearly been in there. There were piles of food ground into the carpet by the bed. The nightstands looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months. Greasy fingerprints all over the mirrors. Just disgusting. - Every single staff member we encountered was unprofessional and rude. Front desk would usually hang up rather than answer the phone. When they did pick up, they would greet with “yeah?” and say we things like “ok bro” in response to your request. - The valet was constantly on his phone and would not bring out our car when we called 5-10 minutes ahead. Every time we would show up, car wasn’t there, and we’d have to interrupt his phone call much to his annoyance and then wait while he slowly walked away to get the car. - Room service was a joke. Spent $75 for breakfast, consisting of a single entree, side, and a single pot of coffee. Food arrived in a plastic bag in plastic containers, with no utensils or napkins. Had to wait another 15 minutes for them to bring the plastic utensils of the same quality you’d get at McD’s. - Only one chair in our large-ish suite. How are two people supposed to eat your trashy room service served in plastic containers? One at at time? - They switched to refillable shower gel and shampoo containers in the bathroom. Fine. Low rent, but fine. Except they didn’t refill the containers. Two of the three were empty. - No trash can in the bathroom. I guess we’re supposed to just throw garbage on the floor - Housekeeping service only on every third day “for our safety”. Sure, nothing to do with saving a buck on your end. Not a single member of their staff was wearing a mask our entire stay so they don’t seem all that concerned with “safety” in the aspects that actually matter. - No robes in the room like they used to have. Won’t be staying here again, which is a shame since we used to like it a lot. …
This is a extremely pricey hotel right across from Busch Stadium. There is a parking lot for hotel guest but there wasn't any signs stating you would be charged for parking there. We were also charged to use the internet. They should be more upfront for what they are going to charge you extra for. There wasn't anything on the parking lot sign to say it wasn't free for hotel guests. What started as a $450 room rate turned into over $500. I would not go back. Get something further from the Stadium. It will probably be just as nice and way cheaper. Plus, the other hotels usually have a pool and a continental breakfast. The Westin had neither. I will never stay there again, nor would I recommend anyone else to either.
Interesting refurbished brick buildings adjacent to Cardinal Village. Walking distance to the arch. Decent gym and excellent restaurant and bar. Rooms are nicely finished and a reasonable size with a king bed. Also had access to the club room as elite member and there are snacks during the day and a hot breakfast in the morning.
Kara served me drinks at the hotel bar during my stay in June of 2022, she made great drinks and would recommend anybody to visit Kara! Best hotel bar drink I have ever had, highly recommend the old fashion!
