We stayed here for 2 days while in town to see the Gateway Arch. Great location! This is a beautiful historic hotel that has been well maintained. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but considering the year it was built, I am impressed with any indoor bathrooms! One thing we didn't know was the requested attire. No... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfectly located. We had to pay for parking, which was a bummer, but the room was very nice. It is an older building, but I enjoyed the detail put into the lobby and the old photographs you saw around.

Just blocks from Busch Stadium, the Athletic Club offers free shuttle service there! This is a club, which means there's a "dress code" but also lots of great services. Parking is free, there's a bar and restaurant, and there's even two Pokestops you can reach! Rooms are pretty small but are clean and have everything you need. Friendly staff and... More

If you want an old-style experience in an hotel it would be hard to do better. Built 100 years ago, it still has many original features, but also has modern features like free wi-fi, and friendly staff. The hotel was close to the conference centre, but if it is shopping you are after, you would do well to find somewhere... More

I chose to stay in this place during my business visit to Saint Louis, mostly because of a good deal on a booking website, and its remarkable position right in the city centre. I have only visited the lobby, the restaurant once for breakfast, and my room. The lobby is very nice and spacious, there are plenty of chairs and... More

A short walk to the Arch and Busch Stadium and a short taxi/uber ride to the Budweiser Brewery, the MO Athletic Club is perfectly located in the center of the city. And you can't beat the price for it's location at cleanliness, even if it is a little old and dingy in the rooms. The lobby is very nice and... More

We stayed here originally planned for 2 nights passing through but because the Arch grounds were in construction we changed to just 1night. They were understanding and we had no problem at check out. It is a beautiful old historical hotel and walking distance to a casino and the Arch. Our room was old and really cool looking so don't... More

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this. I've been to St. Louis twice before and stayed in much more expensive hotels. But this one for me was better than both. If you're expecting a very modern hotel you'll be very disappointed. But if you like history and beauty then it's for you. My room was very... More

I've stayed in similar athletic or social clubs as a guest of a member so I was delighted to learn that Missouri Athletic Club was available as a hotel to the general public. The rate was very good for a downtown hotel. Lots (including Busch Stadium) within walking distance. Some may not like the club atmosphere or the dress code... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Missouri Athletic Club Downtown, is a unique, yet classic fixture of St. Louis' historic Washington Avenue since 1904. Original mahogany wood, rich leather, and lavish hand carved detailing, lay the ambiance of this one of a kind experience. Both the Jack Buck Grill and Sportman's Club, each house their own bar atmosphere, and are known across Missouri as the best in the business for top-notch American cuisine from Chef Barton Phillips. One of the sole remaining establishments in St. Louis where cigars can both be purchased and enjoyed in traditional luxury club atmosphere, the experience is one-of-a-kind, the Art Gallery on the Lobby level is breathtaking, and the facilities are extensive to say the least. Best of all, you don't have to be a member to stay overnight in one of our 74 guest rooms and suites, and take advantage of our prime downtown location! Within walking distance to Busch Stadium, the Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis Gateway Arch, and the banks of the Mississippi River, and easily accessible to several major highways and St. Louis' own Metro Link commuter system. ... more   less
