This was out first B&B for a couples birthday weekend. It was a lovely house with lots of character and charm. Hosts were very informative and rooms were charming. Breakfast was delicious and came with a formal setting. All in all it was a wonderful first time. And an absolute plus was that it had NO curfew. Not far from downtown and close to most attractions. Will definitely recommend and will stay again. Thank you for a great experience.

My husband and I stayed in the second floor Grand Tower Room for two nights. Though this is an older home, it has the necessary modern amenities like wi-fi, air conditioning, and modern bathroom fixtures. Its location was a factor in our choice. It is not far from our son's apartment and is also near Tower Grove Park and the shops and restaurants on Grand Avenue. The bed was very comfortable. Next to our room was a small TV/book room. The bookcase was filled with both books for reading and DVDs for watching. A small refrigerator contained water and other drinks. Wine was available in decanters on a table. On the main floor, on tables, mantels, and cabinets, were displays of glassware and china. Breakfast was served on lovely china in the dining room. The food was outstanding. The first day was a scone, plus fruit followed by an omelet. The second day breakfast included banana bisque soup, scrambled eggs and bacon, and a Finnish pancake with choice of topping. I chose a lemon topping that was delicious, though honey almond, another choice, was tempting. Coffee and several varieties of tea were also available. Though there was parking behind the house, it was simpler and more convenient to park on the street. Our hosts were gracious and knowledgeable about the area. We also heard about the history of the home.

We stayed in the Compton Hill room on the 3rd floor and it was very comfortable. Although we didn't use it, there was an extra window a.c. unit if it got too hot. The bed was very comfortable and the large tub was decadent. One note is that this room was on the top floor with narrow stairs leading up to it, so if you have a hard time with stairs you may want to choose the room on the 2nd floor. The little extras were everywhere from robes, several sitting areas with snacks, books and sherry. The breakfast was chef quality and the hosts were keen on pleasing our tastes. We had eggs Benedict one morning and a lovely French toast the other. I would highly recommend this B and B. Nothing not to love including the 2 resident dogs.

We had a party of 3 that stayed for 5 days over New Year's Eve. Chuck and Magretta were excellent hosts, and equally excellent cooks. They accommodated one of our parties Glucose-free diet without question. The house is original with the original massive pocket doors, and woodwork. They gave us a tour upon arrival that included a history of the location. Our hosts were so friendly that we felt at home. Their 2 dogs are so friendly! There were no parking issues, and the location is not far from downtown. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes to get an Uber ride from the location. There is a quaint bar/restaurant within walking distance. (1.5 blocks.) We highly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone staying in St Louis.
