Room 410, It has a sofa and coffee table, is called a suite. I never could figure out the air conditioner/ furnace. it tan all the time no matter what I set the thermostat on. 63 degrees is what I like. Blower would switch between heat and air conditioning without ever stopping. I intended to mention it at the desk upon departure but the thought was not with me at the time. They have some fine ladies working the reception desk, Barbra and Kimmy. I had a problems understanding why this Holiday Inn would not allow me to use points for payment on this stay and also on one a few months previously. When making reservations on the web site it was listed as NO REWARDS NIGHTS AVAILABLE, with no reason noted. Barbra and Kimmy explained to me that there is a limited quota for rewards nights allowed at each hotel. When that quota is reached, no other customers may use points. That was news to me and I appreciate that they kindly explained the system. I or my wife stays here once or twice a year and we like the hotel, it's location to St. louis, and all the fine people working there.…
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, once for seven nights, and always found it clean and comfortable. Our three night stay in July 2021 was a real shock. We had a 4th floor Queen room. The carpet was dirty and covered with black stains. The beds were so high that we had to fling ourselves onto them. The small blue sofa was broken down and uncomfortable. The mattress on one of the beds was so broken down that a high ridge had formed running the length of the mattress and making the bed unusable.
Great stay, excellent staff. Rooms were new and very clean. The only compliant that I could have is that the walls seems very thin, we could hear heavy footsteps and kiss running for a good part of the first day we stayed there.
Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room was clean, nice white sheets on the bed. 4 pillows on each bed- very fluffy. The bathroom was clean and modern. The only issue was the bathroom sink was far from the edge, difficult for my young child to use/reach. Plenty of towels. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and offered more clean towels on the second day. The staff at the front desk, very polite. Since we had stayed last year, they had our info in the system. Very easy check in. If you are looking for a hotel in the Festus area, I would choose this one. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choices. The pancake machine was fascinating. Really good pancakes! Juice, eggs, coffee, meats, breads, cereals, yogurt, fresh hot oatmeal and fruit choices. Pool was warm and enjoyable during the winter day. Had a great stay. Thank you! …
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Bed was extremely comfortable...walk in shower was nice. If we had to be "nit-picky"...information about hotel amenities (like in-house laundry facilities and the pool hours) could be made more clear in the room...AND...the water pressure could be a little stronger. Other than that...thumbs up! Overall...a great room and a great stay!
Yes--fresh cookies and milk every evening. The hotel is new, clean, comfortable. NO road noise. The window shade keeps the room completely dark. Great lighting with many options for dim to bright. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. Be aware: the climate control has a set temp for the room. If you want to adjust it for your comfort, ask the front desk to put the room on over-ride. I prefer layered blankets to an all-or-nothing comforter. The front desk provided several new blankets. We chose this location to attend a service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. We had easy access to downtown and tourist spots at a much better price than hotels near the center of town.
I have always had great luck staying at Holiday Inn Express hotels and this was no exception. The hotel and room was immaculately clean. The staff were top notch and the free breakfast is among the best I’ve had at any hotel. I forgot a personal item in the room and came back a few hours after check out. The staff were extremely courteous and professional and took me to the room to retrieve it. I will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here because the hotel next door did not have our room ready in time. Sally at the front desk could not have been more helpful, giving us useful information for our trip to the Cardinals' game. And the property honestly could not have been cleaner. All for a price less than the next-door competition!
Stayed here the end of August 2019. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Hot breakfast with assorted pastries and a pancake machine. Plenty of outlets to charge devices. Would stay here again.
this is a very nice hotel. was clean and very comfortable. bed was the most comfortable one we have ever had at any other hotel. breakfast was above expectations. would recommend this hotel. if this is example of hgi properties this will be our new hotel of choice.
