My wife and daughter were in St. Louis for a sporting event and stayed at the hotel. I booked it for them given the reviews. There was a wedding over the weekend and the hotel was out of control...no security. People were running/drinking in the halls to 4 am. Maybe the hotel is out of practice with Covid, but given the price for the hotel it was very disappointing.
As first time visitors to St. Louis we stayed downtown but felt like we were missing out by not seeing other areas of the city. A local recommended we stay at the Chase, which is located in the Central West End neighborhood. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore the area, which is extremely safe and is surrounded by a large park and beautiful homes. The Chase is a historic hotel so the rooms are nothing special but the lobby and common areas are very grand. Bed was very comfortable and we did not hear any sirens despite the proximity of the hotel to multiple hospitals. There is a large outdoor space which was open for food and drinks on an abnormally warm winter day. Most importantly, the hotel was very clean and felt very safe during the pandemic. All patrons and employees were masked and the size of the hotel made it easy to avoid other people. If you’re looking for a safe getaway during the pandemic, I highly recommend the Chase. …
First and foremost, this is a fantastic location with Forest Park on one side and Central West End on the other. Easy walking access to the zoo, museums, science center, bars, restaurants, metrolink, etc. Crosswalks, sidewalks, and trails all easily accessible. Our living room and bedroom appeared well taken care of and relatively modern. Our kitchen, on the other hand, seemed outdated and didn't match any of the style of the rest of the unit. I'm not sure if the kitchens are in a future renovation phase? We definitely took advantage of the Keurig and refrigerator though. It just seemed very off from a design/layout standpoint. Also, the hotel has been experiencing some staffing shortages (likely due to COVID) that may seem apparent at times. The Preston at one point had a line of customers and no noticeable employees staffing the counter. Naturally, many customers left out of confusion/frustration. I definitely recommend the brunch at the chase club though. Decent portion sizes plus bottomless mimosas. Overall, a pretty good trip. If you're planning on a lot of activities in Forest Park and would enjoy the restaurants of Central West End, I definitely recommend this hotel.…
Everything about the Chase Park Plaza is great! The excellent staff and the hotel cleanliness both in the public areas and rooms made this stay terrific, especially during the pandemic. Everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. The location in the Central West End made walking to stores and restaurants easy. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!
Such a wonderful hotel, and the staff was so helpful and kind. We had an issue printing our boarding passes and Rodney went out of his way to give us a hand. From checking in, to getting coffee, the special care from the staff made our trip that much better!
