We really enjoyed our stay here, only one night but what a beautiful old house. It was almost completely destroyed by a fire around 1995, and the current owner bought it and spent 12+ years restoring it. It is a lovely place. The breakfast in the morning was very good, and hot, and made to order. He also had great... More

My sister and I recently completed a cross-country trip. Our last night was spent at Whiskey Mansion B&B. We were so spoiled there and enjoyed our one night immensely. I am already making p,and to return with my husband, the room was so elegantly decorated and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was great and Olin sat and talked with... More

We decided to try something different for our weekend away and I'm so glad we did. This is a beautifully restored mansion in an up and coming area of downtown St. Joseph. We stayed in the Queen Room, which was quite comfortable and featured period items such as a pull chain toilet and claw foot tub in the bathroom. The... More

What a beautiful mansion. The accommodations and staff far exceeded any expectations we had. Planning achiever trip just to start there again. Olivia was a wonderful hostess and the breakfast was outstanding. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Traveling through From NE to the KC airport, my friend and I decided to drive through St. Joseph. The town is FULL of old buildings and houses that fascinated us. Something not-so-good happened to St. Joe quite a while ago and huge and "huger" houses, churches and assorted public buildings have been allowed to settle into disuse and varying stages... More

The owner took a burned out shell of a mansion and restored it to it's original majesty. He said he found many of the pieces on ebay and it is beautiful! The room we stayed in was very spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with fruit, egg fritta and home made bread.

This was our second experience with a bed and breakfast and we were not disappointed. I booked this last minute, for a 2-night stay, so we actually ended up sampling two of the guest rooms and the staff moved our things from the first room to the second room between checkouts. Our rooms were both nice and our breakfasts good... More

This is an annual Daughters/Granddaughter overnight adventure. Whiskey Mansion is a remarkable old home, very comfortable. Not quite as pretty as internet pics but quite nice. Breakfast was okay, not as expansive as most. However, the French toast was good. Sarah, the innkeeper, was delightful, very knowledgeable. She recommended a vintage fashion show for the evening and it was so... More

What an amazing property. The love and care was evident in every nook and cranny. The beds were super comfortable and we slept like babies. Check out the scrapbook in the main room. You will be shocked at how far the property has come. Olin was amazing and the gluten free quiche he served us for breakfast was brilliant. If... More

My wife and I stayed at the Whiskey Mansion this past weekend over a Saturday night. We had the tower room which is a queen room with small attached bathroom. The home was painstakingly restored after a fire and looks just like it must have when it was constructed. As we drove around St Joseph we saw many beautiful Victorian... More
