Had emergency trip and booked last minute. Had to change first room because of a barking dog left alone in room next door. The desk clerk was very accommodating. The walls are paper thin - we could clearly hear the person talking in the next room. The room was small with little area between the furniture and small bathroom. The beds were hard and I tossed all night long to avoid bruising. Even though the rooms are non-smoking, the property is not and several people were smoking outside their...

Hotel has friendly staff and clean rooms. They are doing some major upgrades which is great. My husband loves the pillows. Wine tasting in the evenings and great breakfast with free wifi. Loved our stay, very comfortable two double bed room. Also, the hotel has handicap rooms which is great.

My husband and our 2 dogs were driving cross country and broke down outside St. James, on New Years Day. This hotel was very accomodating to our needs, pet friendly, very clean and had nightly wine tasting from a local winery. The manager, Jaime Comstock, also gave us a late check out because our truck wasn't fixed by checkout time,...

The staff were super helpful and cared about our stay being the best! I appreciate all the recent changes the new manager has implemented! We are in this area 2-3 times a year and we will definitely be back!

I've stayed here a few times and I have to say this time is by far the best! They seem to be under new management and are cleaning things up! Everyone was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the pool was refreshing. Definitely coming back!!!

Arrived at hotel and was surprised of the area appearance. Went inside and was greeted warmly and friendly. Was given my room and went upstairs (there is no elevator's) and opened the door and could immediately smell cigarette smoke. Took two steps inside and my nose started burning from the smell. I was prepared for a nightmare after reading the series of one star reviews, and so was pleasantly surprised that there was not much wrong with this property. The rooms face to the outside, typical of older properties. I did not have any problems with cleanliness, and the public areas were actually fairly large and appealling. Stayed here for a business trip, and I was NOT pleased. Making a reservation at this place was ridiculous. I tried booking online first, but I couldn't get it to go through, so I called the hotel. The person at the desk wasn't able to give me their special rate even though it didn't say I needed to book online...

We got a room on 7/25/16 @10:43pm. When arriving in the room #226, first thing I did was look at the two beds. And there were bed bug!! I took pictures and video and my husband went straight back to the office and demanded our money back . We where not offered an apology or even a hint of remorse...
