We had a gorgeous room in the heart of the historic district of St Charles. The innkeeper was very nice and easy to work with. Super close to the shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again!

We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson Suite and it was beautiful. The decor was a mix of old style French Colonial elegant. We ordered the meat tray and that was delicious too. We can’t wait to go back. The suite was two rooms, a sitting room facing Main Street and the bedroom faced the Missouri River.

With covid restrictions winding down and a birthday coming up, we took a long weekend to travel around our state of Missouri. We've been to St. Charles many times but never stayed over since we don't live that far away. The owner, Venetia, is prompt, friendly, helpful and shares our interest in Colonial American history. We stayed in the Jefferson Suite. It was like stepping back in time, if back in time had all the luxurious conveniences of today. The best of both worlds. President Jefferson would approve! If you like Colonial Williamsburg but can't make it back to Virginia, this is an ideal place to stay. We liked the rooms so much we ordered in dinner and breakfast so we could spend more time there. Your keys also give access to the large common area downstairs, which is also decorated impecably Colonial style.

My husband surprised me with a stay at Boone’s Colonial Inn, Thomas Jefferson Suite. The inn was a beautiful piece of history with upscale amenities. The room was very cozy. Relaxing jacuzzi tub, cheese and wine, views of Main Street and the river. The most comfortable bed...like sleeping on a cloud. Very close to shops and restaurants. The perfect birthday getaway! Thanks Venetia and Steve!

Great location. Beautiful setting. Perfect location. Short walk to all shops and restaurants. Will absolutely be back. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We didnt know if all the shops would be open this late in the season. It turns out this is their busy time of year.

Fantastic location right in the midst of Main street shopping and dining. Beautiful, comfy big beds and nice showers/tubs in bathroom. We had a lovely sitting room facing Main St. and a porch facing the river. Also enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast at the main Inn down the street. The best of everything at this hotel!

Room Tip: Thomas Jefferson St. had views of Main St. and the river, I believe it's the largest suite.

Absolutely loved my stay at Boone’s Colonial Inn! Our room was furnished with lovely antiques and even though it has been renovated they maintained some of the features of the 200-year old building. Perfect combination of old and new! Luxurious, yet quaint. This bed and breakfast is right on Main Street and has a spectacular view of the river. Katy Trail is just steps away. Bathroom has an amazing jetted tub as well as a shower—We used both the shower and tub during our stay. A few notes: the owners do not live on property, but are just minutes away were we to need anything. Very private, and there was a “commons area” just outside our room. There was a back porch area with seating so we could relax and watch the river or the bikers/hikers pass by on the Katy Trail. Breakfast is available, but it is served down the street. This was not an issue for us, as it allowed us to enjoy Main Street and the lovely shops along the way. There are many very good restaurants and pubs to choose from right on Main Street. This is an ideal venue for a romantic couples retreat or a girls’ trip. Owners were very cordial and went to great lengths to help us enjoy our stay with them! Highly recommend Boone’s Colonial Inn—cannot wait to return here!

This is a beautifully restored hotel that is in a great location to the downtown area. It is close to all the shops, to the Katy Trail, and to the beautiful Missouri River, which has a lovely park and walkway beside it. We loved the history and the period furniture within the hotel. It was like stepping back in time. The Jefferson Suite has a wonderful Jacuzzi bath that felt amazing after a long day on the Katy trail. Tip - This is not a typical Bed & Breakfast. You are on your own, which was fine with us. There were several coffee shops within walking distance.
