First of all, this hotel would be exceptional except for one huge problem. The problem is, we came here for a baseball tournament and stayed three nights. After our first night, we waited for them to clean our room. We noticed it was not cleaned and there was a card in the room that said if you wanted the room clean to contact them. When we contacted them, they told us they do not clean the rooms… For the entire four days we were there. They said if we needed new linens or towels we could come to the front desk and get them. After the first night we came to the front desk and got four towels. After the second night the towels and garbage started piling up and we had some blood on our sheets. They said we need to change our own sheets. Part of the reason I like to go to a hotel is to have the amenities of someone else changing my sheets. I went and got new sheets and they told me we had to put the old sheets outside in the hallway if we did not want them in our room. Here’s a picture of our towels and garbage outside of the room because it would’ve started piling up in our room. This is what we were instructed to do. They said this is due to Covid. I’ve been traveling all throughout the Covid pandemic and I’ve never had a hotel not clean my room when I ask them to specifically. I feel like this is a copout. I will continue to put my garbage, sheets, and towels outside of the room. I don’t see how this is helping the pandemic in anyway. I will not be returning to this hotel, I can assure you. If I were you I would find a hotel that cleans the room. I guess you have to specifically ask that before you book it.

There were the small issues which on the surface we would have ignored normally, but the issues just kept piling up and so we have to let others know, this is a poorly managed hotel with lots of "things you need to know" before booking and staying there. First, the alarm clocks in our room and, from what we heard, other rooms as well, were set at least an hour ahead, but this was the least of the issues. The refrigerator thermostat in our room was set to "Off" which we didn't notice until it was too late. They never cleaned our room after the first night (we stayed 2 nights), and no, we didn't have the "don't clean the room" sign on the door...they just simply didn't clean the room. We never could get the A/C to turn on so our evenings were pretty warm in the room. The shower had very little water pressure that got worse as you turned it more to hot. We also overheard other guests in the hotel complaining of the same issue. Barely enough pressure to make the shower start. The vanity lights were very dim which made it difficult to get ready. Turning on all the bathroom lights didn't help. One of the more "eww" moments was when my wife happened to look on top of the bed headboard and noticed that it had apparently not been dusted in weeks if not months. A thick layer of dust on top made us look a little more closely at the other furniture which also had obviously not been dusted in at least a couple of weeks. Finally the bottom of the pool had several sharp, rough parts. Our daughters both got cuts on their hands from it and one of our nephews got a cut on his toe. One last note, its apparently not a policy of this hotel to have someone at the front desk at all times. Rarely was there anyone there. We stood there a couple of times waiting for someone for several minutes, and on more than one occasion heard other guests complaining about that same issue. SO basically, if you're looking for quality, go elsewhere. Also, if you do stay there, as soon as you walk in the room, check things like the clock, refrigerator thermostat and A/C to make sure they are set correctly and working. Consider yourself warned.

On August 23, 2019, I arrived at STL Holiday Inn Hotel, I was given room 711. The sink was clogged (Picture is attached). I asked to change the room. On a second attempt I was given room 723. In a new room the sink was particularly clogged (Picture is attached). Third time I was given room 512 witch was in a good mechanical order with some stain on the wall in the bathroom and a nick on the bathtub (Picture is attached). It took for me half an hour to get a room in serviceable conditions, (forget about stain on the wall and a nick on the bathtub). This is very not a first time that happens to me in this hotel. On 24 August 2019 at about 3 pm when I was sleeping a woman entered my room without my permission and without knocking at my door. The sign "Do not Enter" was displayed outside of my door. I screamed. I was scared, intimidated, frustrated. The woman disappeared. My travel bag was easily seen and actually was on the way in my room. The entered woman definitely could see my belongs on her way still she proceeded ahead until I was awake and screamed at her. Who was she I still do not know. When I called the Front Desk to ask who did entered my room, the answer was "I do not know". Front desk agents (I spoke with Briana, Coriana, Lela and Jami), refused to make any investigation to find out was it an intruder or a housekeeper. They all said to me they do not know anything and they will not do anything about it. It was very difficult to reach the front desk because they used to disconnect the phone line with me mostly of the time. The General Manager, Adrienne Lathan is never reachable and will respond back to my inquiry only after I make complaints to my company. This is from my previous experience with General Manager, Adrienne Lathan. I submitted complaint a month ago about this hotel for unserviceable sinks in the rooms. Many sinks in this hotel are partially clogged. Some of them better some worse. Last time the General Manager, Adrienne Lathan, responded to my company that she personally checked the sink condition in the room for me and it was serviceable. It was partially clogged so after I use it for a day it will become clogged completely. I did complain about the stuff of the hotel trying to enter the rooms without permission on regular bases, this is the regular normal procedure in this hotel. Some locks in the hotel rooms are unserviceable. This already a Safty Issue.

We made arrangements over a month prior to our stay. The person that took the reservation was inept and could not get anything correct. To be sure we called them the night before our arrival to confirm our stay before we drove over 6 hours to get there. We arrived and they said they had no availability and that we were listed as a no show since they were expecting us the night before EVEN THOUGH WE CALLED THE NIGHT BEFORE and said “Great, see you tomorrow.” We arrive and no rooms. Just spent 6 hours in the car to have no where to stay. It was also a weekend with a large festival so many hotels were booked up. The 4 of us almost had to sleep in the car but we were able to locate another room but not to our liking. The staff obviously is not properly trained and the lobby smelled musty/moldy so I assume it was under water at one point so maybe it was for a reason that we did not stay here but NEVER again will I book or trust any Holiday Inn property. Booker Beware! Pray you get a room upon arrival.
