This will be our go-to place whenever we drive through Missouri. I'd go out of my way to stay here. We stayed in the "Cottage Suite," and while it was a touch pricey, from our point of view, it was worth every penny. It was spotlessly clean and so thoughtfully furnished. Nothing was overlooked. There were two luggage racks. a coffee machine, water, snacks...even an umbrella. We ordered the optional tapas which was there when we arrived...and delicious. Parking was private and safe. The bed was very comfy, as was the living room area. The bathroom was huge....positively luxurious, with a wonderful big tub and a walk-in shower that had three shower heads. Our little front porch had a lovely table and chairs for our use, though the weather didn't accommodate. Beautiful artwork for our enjoyment and a lovely historical neighborhood all around us. The staff was so friendly and kind. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return!

Linda the Inn Keeper was kind, knowledgeable and caring. She educated up on the history of the Inn, showed up were to park in private parking, walked us to our cozy, clean pretty room. She oriented us to all the amenities. The linens were top notch. We felt at home. The King size bed was "wonderful." The building with all the rooms was very quiet. We left our car in the parking lot for our two day visit at St. Charles. We rode the "free" trolley that picked us up right outside the room and listened to all the history about St. Charles and the French district. We enjoyed the Katie trail just feet from our room and walked a bit enjoying the view of the river. Linda shared all the great places to eat, shop and night time entertainment within walking distance. After we left I realized I lost a very special earring and texted Linda that if she might find it in the room to let me know. She did and made sure that I got my earring back. Just like family. We will stay at Boone's like Inn again soon. Thank you Linda for your kindness. Our room was lovely!

We had the pleasure of staying at Boone's Lick Trail Inn on our final night on the Katy trail. It was a last minute decision to get a room (we didn't want to camp in the cold that was forecasted!) and Venetia, the innkeeper, managed to squeeze us in and make us feel more like family than guests! She was on top of prompt communication and making sure our needs were met! She went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed and to help us get things lined up for our stay in St. Charles...from a safe place to store our bikes to all the highlights to hit in the Historic District. The house and rooms were so clean, comfortable, and well stocked...and we loved the history of the inn. Definitely plan to return and stay again!

I have stayed at Boones Colonial Inn but it was not available for the dates we wanted. I called about the sister property Boones Lick Inn. Asked about a couple of rooms and decided on the suite that faced the Main Street. I was quoted (as my wife listened). $225.00 per night Friday and Saturday with Sunday being less. My wife heard this and I wrote it down. Later that I checked email I found the confirmation and printed it. When I checked the printed confirmation it showed $325.00 per night Friday and Saturday. I called the person I had dealt with and they had the owner call me back. I was told straight out that I was wrong and was not quoted that amount for that room. No appeasement but simply I was wrong. I was asked if I wanted to cancel and I said yes.

Easy to reserves, but a liitle confused at check in. Venetia quickly returned our call and met us. Our bikes were safely secured. Local TV was not available but we accessed netflix.
Several snacks and coffee were in the room but this is NOT a bed and breakfast! Not sure why it is advertised as such.

We had a lovely stay accompanied with sweet hospitality from Linda. The sheets were so soft and the bed was comfy. We loved sitting on the balcony drinking wine and enjoying the views with each other for our anniversary. 10/10 Thank you, we can't wait to come back!

Way to expensive for nothing. A room? Needed update on dangerous balcony. Tiny little snacks and water for $300.00 queen size bed. Ritz it is not. Not a gem of a stay. The property is located is a diamond location, but not a diamond 5 star get away.

We came to this B&B in a bind due to being stood up by the Old Elm Tree Inn innkeeper. We needed a room, any room and were focused on a quick shower and getting some grub. We had ridden over 50 miles on the Katy Trail in the hot and muggy July weather. The Boone's Lick is close to the Katy Trail and right in the popular part of town. This is both good and bad. Places to eat and be entertained are right out the door but when it's time for bed you'll likely find that the walls aren't thick enough if others are still out having fun at the place across the street. Also, this is a prime street for cruising, read Harley Davidsons into the late hours of the night. We knew exactly what to expect when we checked into our street side room and found complementary earplugs on the nightstand! That said, at this point we needed a room and the price wasn't that bad. The people we dealt with were very very nice and that is the saving grace for this B&B. It's an interesting Inn in a great location for people that want to walk around from where they are staying. Just find out if they have rooms that aren't street side, especially if you're a light sleeper.

The Boon'e Lick Inn is a lovely B&B with nice decor, terrific breakfasts and a central location in St Charles, MO. It is on a busy touristy corner and it tends to be quite loud at night with the people and traffic. We stayed in room 3 which was adequate although the shower was extremely small. We enjoyed the historic Main Street shops and nearby hiking trails. This location is very convenient to the airport and easy to find. It is about 25 minutes from downtown and the ballpark.
For the price I felt that we did not get our money's worth especially since we were charged for a late check out.

The room (#5) was NOT as advertised on their website. Expected completely different decor. The photo on the website was light, airy, soft and femine (white dust ruffle, cushion on the chair, nice lamp, bedside table, very Laura Ashley). In real life, it's dark, masculine and musty (brown dust ruffle, brown sheets, no cushions, dark leather chair, substandard toiletries, very much "Target-decorated man cave/dorm room"). I was told they'd just "updated" it. They need to "update" their website instead of duping people. Fortunately, they don't charge your card when you don't unpack and especially if they have a backlog of other guests who are desperate for accommodations (heck, they won't even bother to apologize, just defend how great their establishment is and how in demand it is!). I'll never trust this outfit again. I've never not, just, sucked it up, made the best of it and stayed somewhere, put on a game face and hunkered down like camping. But this was such a dishonest breech of trust, I felt so lied-to and disappointed, I couldn't stay there. We traveled to Edwardsville to a blessed chain, where, for just about $10 more, we got a king suite at the Holiday Inn Express that was three times the size, was nice and cool, quiet, and much better appointed. Normally I love to stay in B&Bs, but this time, the consistency of a chain after that disappointment was a complete godsend.
