Stayed at the Inn which was sparkling clean and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, helped with the bikes, had cookies and a lovely kitchen for us, beautiful beds, bedding, showers, all the amenities! A lovely spot in a pretty town that’s been rejuvenated. Breakfast was sweet and very filling, powered us all the way to Columbia the next day.
“Go to Rocheport!” our daughter & SIL told us. “Ride the Katy Trail!” So looking for some fun & relaxation, we did and stayed in the most AMAZING B&B ~ The Yates House. We were in the Garden House where accommodations were the best. Breakfast every morning seemed like a dream of sweet & savory. Fresh cookies were everywhere. They booked local dinner reservations for us and even had a garage for our bikes at night. Conrad & Dixie Yates made us feel like family. If you are looking for a Hallmark experience some weekend, go stay at the Yates House.
Katy trail tried to beat me into submission with rain and mud. We showed up filthy messes. The in. Took care of us, hosed us off, washed and dried clothes. Cookies and coffee to tide me over till dinner and a robe that I never wanted to get out of. The one night went too quickly, recommend it for all!
Situated in the quiet river town of Rocheport, the Yates House is a must stay B & B, from the manicured grounds to the cleanest and most comfortable rooms, this place is a gem among places to relax for the night. Conrad and Dixie have years of experience to make sure your stay is just what you need. Fabulous food made fresh from the author of a great cookbook!
Dixie & Conrad were delightful hosts that didn’t miss even the smallest detail. The rooms were spotless, very well appointed and extremley comfortable. The fresh, homemade cookies were a wonderful “pick me up”upon arrival. Breakfast was outstanding. We stayed here at the beginning of our ride on the KATY Trail and will be sure to return! (VERY bicycle friendly)
