We visited Argosy casino for the first time in 5 years. We immediately noticed the Buffet was gone, and so were the beverage machines. All the dining options were very pricey. The property seemed to be in good condition, a bit smokey, even in the places ourside the casino floor. There was a good choice of slots and denominations. We didn't find any that provide slot time and basically just donated.

Customer service and front desk very courteous, well mannered and make you feel at ease and comfortable. Check in is at 4 p.m. but they will allow you to check in early on a case by case basis. This was very much appreciated. The hotel itself is updated with large modern restroom and waterfall shower head and large shower in the room. The bathroom was awesome, brightly lit and well designed. I think this is the new Covid level of cleanliness. The cleanliness of the rooms leaves something to be desired. Run your hand over any surface that is not in sight and see for your self. You can write your name in the dust on top of the refrigerator. House keepers will not come in and clean each day or make up your bed. The slot machines are tight. If you must eat leave the premises to do so. Restaurant directly in front of the casino I ordered a burger with bacon. Got up to my room and no bacon. I ordered a meat lovers pizza -see the photo. I ate on the premises and my stomach is still kicking my ass for it. You will feel safe here. You will feel comfortable here. The facilities are well lit and accommodating to your needs. Fitness center on site that is open around the clock.

Got stuck on smoking floor after booking non-smocking... hallways smells like an ash tray. Parking lot filled with cigarette butts and trash, it has not been cleaned in a long time. Most restaurants closed except weekends.

The location is great. Many things are about 20 minutes away, depending on what you're looking to do. Our room did not look like the pictures posted. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best. I was told they had remodeled, but I'm not sure if our floor got that treatment or not. We were also on a smoking floor. It was the only thing available with 2 beds for our family of 5.

While visiting KC for a wedding we stayed here. Rooms and customer service desk were good. Donna, bartender at the main bar was awful. Told customers not to smoke cuz it gave her a headache. Unfriendly and made customers feel they were imposing on her. Steve, however, was very good.

Good variety of machines old and new. Was better when their self serve drink machines were running. COVID’s over. Bring back self serve drinks! Tuesdays are old folks day. 25pts gets you $10 free play. Used to spin a wheel and could get up to $1000 in free play.

We loved the room. Had lots of space to spread out and shelves, etc for setting stuff down. Plenty of plug ins for charging, Only negative was one I have a lot of places - the width of the vanity between edge and sink. Dual head shower (regular and rain) was great with large shower stall and seat. Did not have daily housekeeping, like almost every place now. But had no problem getting coffee refills, TP, etc. as needed. Only real problem concerns food availability. Since we were there early in the week, 2 of the restaurants weren't open. And, except for the weekends, there is no place to get a sit-down breakfast. However, the food we could take out from the Coffee Shop was very good. Casino was good and did hit one jackpot while there.

I would not recommend playing the slot machines at Argosy Casino. Ever since the CoVID reopening, the slots seem very tight and are not very much fun to play. This place used to be a lot of fun back in the day but not anymore.

This Casino has a outgoing and very friendly staff. From the front desk to the casino every staff member I encountered during my short stay was kind. A great place to stay if you’ve got an early flight out of MCI. Props for the lovely vanilla smell throughout the building. Casinos can be real stinkers from the cigarette smoke. Not this one!
