Located at the first tee of the golf course renders this cabin inaccessible by car, so two golf carts are provided by the lodge. The only downside to the beautifully rustic structure is the unfortunate view of the large sinkhole which has marred the landscape. Making lemonade out of lemons - the site is being further excavated which entails loud construction equipment. The cabin itself was spotlessly cleaned with two queen sized bed, radiate heated floor throughout the structure, large (room for two) copper tub and the most exquisite SIX head shower ever experienced. This includes inexhaustible hot water and great water pressure. The fireplace was laid (winter months) and generous welcome basket overflowed with muffins, fruit, juices and snacks secondary to the distance from restaurants. Would definitely recommend for couples and romance.

We stayed at Big Cedar for a quick family get away over thanksgiving break, the grounds and view were amazing and the touches of Christmas/gift shoppe were top notch. Our room was nice enough (valley view lodge) Christmas tree in room was a nice touch- but you could hear everything from all neighbors at all hours, so not the best sleep-but also not the resorts fault, it is what it is. However, be prepared to spend a small fortune on food. Morning coffee cost $15, breakfast buffet for 4 was $60.. and we had to wait a solid hour for them to refill the waffles, they’d bring 6 out at a time and they would get snatched up before others in line could get theirs.. for an $18 per adult buffet, I’d expect more. If I came back I’d get a room with a kitchenette and definitely make my own breakfast and lunches. Dinners were standard, but really wished there were more healthy options or as one reviewer stated a convenient type store where you could get bottled waters etc not at a premium. The young man at the Truman cafe, Riley, was an absolute delight and so pleasant every single morning- warm smile on his face to greet customers. Linda at devils pool was doing an amazing job serving all the tables she had for the morning rush, not missing a beat-also with a pleasant demeanor that was appreciated. Jeremy at uncle bucks was also awesome and quite possibly the happiest and “on-it” server i think I’ve ever had! Unexpected and appreciated :) The only person I had a less than stellar encounter with was kaylee who checked us in, she was less than helpful when I asked what there was to see and do around the property -stating we’d never been there before. I heard other front desk clerks giving guests the complete run down of activities and she seemed put out to do anything other than give us our room keys. I was left to navigate the map with little guidance. I probably wouldn’t have thought much of it if I hadn’t heard the two clerks beside her giving thorough details on the property. All in all, pleasant staff, great grounds keeping/housekeeping and activities, just be prepared to pay for literally everything and to pay a lot for mediocre food. If you’re ok with that and/or plan to do things off property a lot (i.e Branson) then definitely stay here!

Big cedar Lodge on approach is absolutely beautiful. The drive up is lovely, the views of the lake and the landscaping with waterfalls and lovely trees are just amazing. The little cafe with a dining room and patio facing the lake Was pretty, The wait staff very personable and the food was very good. The gift shop is more than we’ve seen in most Lodges and we shopped there several times for gifts and snacks. The room we had was our biggest disappointment. The first room was on the ground floor and you could hear, loudly, every step the people above us took. Doors opening and closing as well as tv’s and conversations and people rolling their luggage along the walkways. We requested a new room and after spending the first night, got one the next morning . The new room promptly lost any hot water and we had none all that second day. When we called to tell them taking a cold shower was not exactly what we planned, the desk clerk told us we could go to the fitness center and shower there, which was either a 400 yard walk across the property or a drive . And this was November and very cold. So, while we loved the Branson area and will definitely be back, we will probably stay elsewhere the next time.

Candaceemb, We are happy that you were able to stay with us, however, we are disappointed to hear of your overall experience. At Big Cedar Lodge we expect perfection and it appears that we have fallen short of the expectations. We will do everything possible to ensure that this is an isolated incident. Thank you again for your feedback!

We loved our Big Cedar experience. Our room was awesome. We are thinking about bringing family back 2-65 years of age. The entire ground were so pretty, clean and staff extremely friendly. We ate at Devil Pool upstairs and downstairs both. Dining was very good. Show in the basement was enjoyable as well. Loved the gift shop. We were disappointed there was not a free shuttle to Top of the Rock.

Spent 4 days but could have used a couple more to really experience the whole facility. There is a lot to the facilities and the transportation offered is exceptional. A compass is useful. Our room was is in the 2700 building, basically a hotel room with a kitchenette. One thing the lodge could use is a more comprehensive convenience store.
