Enjoyed a very pleasant family meal on an awful night weather wise. Staff welcoming and helpful. Pleased we could take our dog in as we ate too. Friday they have the fish chips peas and a drink offer which a few of us had. Food was served pretty quickly and we also enjoyed various desserts. I would certainly go again

Stopped by here for tea a few times now. Always enjoyed the food. Sat inside when weather's poor and outside in the summer sun. Staff polite and service is reasonably good. Would recommend it as a place for tea. Not as expensive as some other places locally.

We stopped over here on our way home from a weekend in Haworth and had a drink. Looked at the menu however it was too close to our late breakfast to eat. It was a bright sunny day so we sat outside to take advantage of the weather. A couple on another table had ordered food and it looked like...

This Pub is situated in a beautiful little village, stone house's and a lovely old church and close to a canal, ideal for countryside walks. The Pub is traditional and unspoilt and serves a good selection of real ales and the homemade food is gorgeous, big portions at a reasonable price. The hosts are a lovely couple very friendly and...

There have been mixed reviews of this pub. It is a good Yorkshire country pub, the bar staff are helpful and friendly in a local Yorkshire way and yes food service is a little slow but that was because it was being cooked not reheated. I had the steak and ale pie, I have had a few in my time,...

We had lunch here at the halfway point of a day trip on the canal. Friendly service and tasty meals with a reasonable range of beers and ciders. £15 for a light lunch and drinks was rather good. Decor is aging, but the pub is well frequented.

It was a lovely sunny day during the week and we wanted to go to somewhere in a relaxing setting where we could sit outside. Although I hadn't visited the White Lion in a number of years, it came to mind due to its location and outdoor area. It was lovely sitting in the garden but I'm sorry to say...

Visited the White Lion on a Friday lunch time. Friendly greeting from the bar staff, who happens to be the owner. She was efficient in taking both drinks and food orders. Drinks served immediately in good clean glasses at the correct temperature on this warm day. The wait for food was a little long.... However we was well worth waiting...

Mistakes happen and they got our order wrong. I paid £31 For two drinks, two puddings, pie and chips and a roast dinner. Pie is hard to mess up but it did taste funny. Not rich gravy. Beef dinner also very rare (although that its perhaps personal preference). Puddings quite stodgy and may have been homemade but didn't have the...

Went on a lovely sunny day and sat outside in the beer garden. Was a really nice atmosphere. Once I went inside I felt the women behind the bar was a bit grumpy and abrupt when she spoke to me, otherwise I would have given a 4. I had the roast chicken dinner which was nice, only thing is I...
