Only three rooms but that was good for a tired traveller as I only wanted one. The single room was a good size which needed warming however that took place whilst I was in the bar. Breakfast was what I wanted. Always liked to be asked if I want the Full English as I don't always. Great location unless you...

After a walk along the canal bank and back via the river bank we ate at the white Lion at lunch time, the food was excellent pub food well served by Suzie the landlady, food by Dave her husband. Had a lovely family meal on a Friday evening. Wasn't too busy but wasn't too quiet. Staff were extremely pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble. Will be returning , another to add to our list of places to eat!!

celebrating my husband's birthday with four friends we booked for a meal and were not disappointed. as well as the regular menus, there were italian and Spanish specials. the food was excellent as was the service. I would recommend to anyone and its a bonus that dogs are welcome to, excellent value and quality.

We stumbled upon the White Lion while visiting the area for a family emergency. The pub is a great old fashioned Yorkshire pub and the staff were fantastic. We booked at the last minute due to circumstances and they accommodated us excellently and helped with many aspects of our trip. We had several meals and the food was very good....

We all had different meals and they were all consistently excellent. Service was fast efficient and friendly...

Enjoyed a very pleasant family meal on an awful night weather wise. Staff welcoming and helpful. Pleased we could take our dog in as we ate too. Friday they have the fish chips peas and a drink offer which a few of us had. Food was served pretty quickly and we also enjoyed various desserts. I would certainly go again

Stopped by here for tea a few times now. Always enjoyed the food. Sat inside when weather's poor and outside in the summer sun. Staff polite and service is reasonably good. Would recommend it as a place for tea. Not as expensive as some other places locally.

We stopped over here on our way home from a weekend in Haworth and had a drink. Looked at the menu however it was too close to our late breakfast to eat. It was a bright sunny day so we sat outside to take advantage of the weather. A couple on another table had ordered food and it looked like...

This Pub is situated in a beautiful little village, stone house's and a lovely old church and close to a canal, ideal for countryside walks. The Pub is traditional and unspoilt and serves a good selection of real ales and the homemade food is gorgeous, big portions at a reasonable price. The hosts are a lovely couple very friendly and...
