Great little stop over. In the midst of renovations. Awesome store with drinks, spices , canned goods, and cheeses. Plus a boutique with great prices. Many sites are paved. The campground roads are pot-holed and bumpy but I’m sure they will be fixed once construction is complete. The campground bathroom (yes, one) is a major issue. There are men’s and women’s bathrooms in the store but only for use during store hours. To preface this, renovations are occurring, however, the bathroom is completely bizarre. Thought maybe they had an Asheville, NC thing going on...Not real sure. It’s a men’s room but wait, it’s also a women’s room. No, maybe, but not sure. Anyways, if your unit is self-contained, the bathroom won’t concern you. If not, and in particular, if you’re a woman, it’s a huge concern since it’s currently servicing both genders for the toilet and showers! Weird! Surely this will be updated soon! Other than that, nice little campground 35 minutes east of the city.…
Well kept RV campground right off 70. Very clean restrooms/shower area. Nice laundry area and has a pool table for kids. They also have a dog run. They also have a little country store with free cheese samples and they are fantastic.
This turned out to be well worth the stop. We were forced to find another campground due to threat of flooding at our planned stop. This is a small park that is intended to be a road-side stopover but turned out to be worth staying two nights. The main store has 160ish kinds of different cheeses that you can sample. There are other foods as well which all come together to create a truly unique experience. There are no playgrounds or pools but I was told all of this prior to reserving so no surprises. Friendly staff and with my GoodSam, it was approximately $28 a night.
A nice stop in midsts of thunderstorms and tornados. They have a safe location just off site just incase it gets to close, great comfort while traveling. Wonderful staff, Tabitha was great from reservations months ago to the time of check in. Super clean laundry (old but in expensive, and they work great), the concrete slabs were level, wonderful cheese store, clean sites and easy on off interstate. Will return!
Very nice park, convenient to many attractions. We just weren't there long enough to see them all! On the RV side, there are wide long level concrete pads. Entrance can be from either direction, because they have utilities on both sides. Very convenient. The utilities themselves are packaged neatly in a small lighted "house", which was quite attractive. The management was very helpful to our two-rig party, setting us up side by side. On our last night, a local fireworks shop even entertained us with an hour long show! We had a very pleasant stay, and would visit there again.
