The owners of this RV park are very friendly. The sites and ammenities were as advertised and the rates were very reasonable. An added bonus, particularily when traveling during COVID 19, was the onsite pizzeria which delivered to our camper. The pizza was great.

I traveled from one coast to the other and stayed in about every state along the way. My stay in Missouri at Pony Express was very good! It's a very well kept campground with lots of wide open space, lakes, ample bathrooms and laundry. There is even a little "petting zoo" for the kids if you have them.
I had plenty of room to walk my pups and it was quiet at night.

I only drop a star for the employee who needed to mow next to me as I was getting settled in... and I got an RV and face full of grass so that wasn't so pleasant. She seemed annoyed that I wouldn't hurry. Not sure if she was-- that's just how it felt.

Driving on highway 36across MO, it’s hard to find a site for our 42 ft 5th wheel. The Pony Express is a real find! It has Nice level paved sites with large grassy area around with 3 stocked fish ponds and large grassy dog park and a very nice restaurant on site if you’re too tired to cook. The owner was right there and super helpful. I’d plan my trip around this place and stay longer.

Very laid back, relaxing campground. Large and spacious sites. Very friendly owner (Terry), staff and other campers. Two nice ponds for fishing; one has a small beach area and a paddle boat that is free to use. Petting zoo for children. Soft served ice cream is the best I’ve ever had.
Big front porch on the office/restaurant area has lots of seating if you want to sit and chat for a spell. Would definitely recommend and return.

Found the place online, and it lived up to the positive reviews I read. The parking is gravel but very level. They do escort you to your site....which I like. Plan on having pizza for dinner, it is very good and a very casual atmosphere. Lots of things to keep kids occupied and a safe location.

No dog park, but plenty of grass to walk them.

A very quiet, clean, and laid back environment.

Very pleasant stay at the campground and yummy breakfast. Super friendly and helpful people. Loved all the animals around especially the “yes, I would love a pet” dogs. Clean facilities. She gave us a heads up the Wi-Fi is iffy but we had no problems.

We spent two nights at the Pony Express RV Park in order to attend a family reunion.
The RV Park is truly in a rural setting with working farms literally next door. The setting could not be better for those wanting to get away from the city and the interstate racetrack and noise.
When first driving into campground there are two beautiful ponds on either side of the road. Travelers are welcome to fish there and with it being on private land not state fishing license is required.
The park is also golf carft friendly and is the primary transportation method for those who are set up on at semi-permanent spots. We found those who are permanent to be very friendly and did not feel invaded by outsiders but rather they were out going, genuinely interest in you and your travels. We never felt unwelcome.
The park is very spacious as you do not feel crammed in next to others as some parks. Most spaces were pretty level and hook up included water, electricity and sewer. None of the parking places are paved but are on graveled and well maintained. There are lots of shaded areas and our spot could not have been better (E1).

The bath house, only one, next to the check-in office were very clean and the showers worked well. There is also a laundry room and recreation room in the same building. The hostess was friendly and outgoing which is nice to see. They know they are in the service business because they enjoy it.

The only negative that some may not like is that the roads in the park are graveled and will generate dust on your vehicles and camper. We expect to return to the area in a couple of years and if we take our camper, this is where we will plan on staying.

The Pony Express RV Park & Campground is a "Hidden Gem", under new management as of May-2019. The owners, Terri and Carole, are very welcoming and helpful. The RV park is located about 13 miles off the I-35 freeway, but don't let that stop you, it's worth the extra drive. The RV park is quiet, the sites are set into the trees and are very spacious/roomy (see pictures), sites are reasonably priced (~$35/night). There's two large ponds for fishing, many different farm animals in their mini-zoo.

I loved staying here. Terri and Carol are very nice ladies. They put your needs before theirs. The golf cart trails are really fun and exciting. There are tent sites too. It was really cheap. I would definitely stay again. :)
