Where to begin? We booked the Mystery Dinner and Elopement package for 8, then raised to a headcount of 10 just 2 weeks out. To say the service is excellent is an understatement. Service is outstanding, but the attention to details, and being able to keep the bride calm (yes, that would be me) is a talent few possess like Cheri and Doug. No matter the curve balls we threw at them they handled each with ease. My wedding cake was perfect, the food was beyond compare. From the dinners (yes, 2) to the Breakfasts (that would be 3) and even having on hand a pizza delivery service we could call for the first night's meal was good (however it didn't hold a candle to Cheri's spreads). From the spotless rooms, to the 5 star breakfasts, not a detail was missed. I would recommend for everyone who needs a little pampering, and we will be back. Thanks Cheri for treating us like Royalty.

We stayed here for one night during a road-trip vacation, and it was just what we needed. The inn is spacious and luxurious. The grounds, including the swans and ducks, really help re-energize your spirit. Innkeeper Cheri is delightful and friendly, without being overbearing. I found it very neat and convenient that she will communicate with you via text, rather than a knock on the door or a call; that really adds to the relaxing feel of the inn. I'm trying to think of a criticism, but can't. We would definitely stay here again.

We came from Pennsylvania for a funeral and needed a room in the area, so we went there on the recommendation from a local mote!. Wow! Is all we could say. The ambiance, the friendly innkeepers, and all the things to do while there! All we can say is, we will never stay in a hotel again. We would advise anyone to stay here, if you're going to be in the area. Well worth the money! We will be back next time we are in Missouri

Beautiful scenery with a peaceful feel! The rooms are decorated nicely but yet comfortable. The owners treat visitors like family and are knowledgeable on local history and current events. Breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, we were not hungry until supper. This was great for a mother daughter get away weekend as we could be outside with nature or in our room watching a movie. I will be planning a trip back with my husband for a couples retreat in the near future.

We are not generally Bed and Breakfast type people. We travel quite a bit and have found some B&B's to be stuffy, froufrou and frankly a little stale. The Swan Song Inn changed our minds, as it is absolutely delightful. I would recommended it 100% without any reservation. If you are looking for serenity and place to unwind, look no further. As a matter of fact, after the first night of our stay, I phoned my son and daughter in law (who live an hour away) and told them they had to come out immediately. They did and loved it as much as we did. The suites are immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We stayed in the Swan Song Suite and my son and his wife stayed in the Lake View Suite. Both have gorgeous views and plenty of space. The owners have thought of everything and there is nothing that I could recommend for them to make it more perfect.  Cheri and Doug were born to be in the hospitality industry. They have spared no expense and have thought of everything. Wonderful hosts without being overbearing. They are conscious of giving you privacy but are quick to respond if you need anything. They are the type of people that make you feel comfortable the moment you meet them. Cheri is a wealth of information about just about everything. And oh my goodness, can this woman cook! She says she's a cook not a chef but I have a culinary background and I was blown away with the details and expertise that she put into her breakfast creations. We stayed during a cold weekend (low 30's) but our private Sun room was warm and the views of the sunrise and sunset were spectacular. With the swans, ducks, chickens, deer and the various wildlife-I almost felt as though I was in a Disney movie. We decided to go antique shopping during the day and Cheri gave us a map and and the inside scope on where to find what the special treasures we were on the on the hunt for. There are gas fire pits on the grounds that keep you cozy on a chilly evening. Fireplaces crackling your room, a huge Jacuzzi tub to unwind and the beds are heaven. The rooms are quiet and can be as dark or as light as you prefer. This Inn was beautiful in the winter. I can only imagine how lovely it will be in the other seasons. I think we will have to come back each season and see for ourselves!
