Visited Ella residence eco resort at Paddukka. It's a lovely place and unique for day outings. Had an unforgettable day as the services food and other facilities are extremely good. Reasonable prices. The pool is really good and it's a rock bed . Waterfall experience is unforgettable. Surrounded by dense of trees. It's a fauna and flora environment. Bird watching is an another experience. Both village food and western food are amazing and mouth watering. Care takers are very decent and services are really good. Fascinating resort to relax yourself. Be srilankan Go to srilankan resorts. Keep it up . .cheers.

Great location just 1 kilometer off Bope-Labugama Road. If you walk from the main road, you can experience more rather than going by a vehicle. This small property surrounded by lush green environment. Large open area and carefully tented fruit trees in the garden. The swimming pool surface is natural stone (not cement). A small stream running near the resort and there is a small water fall in 100 meter distance. Can see a lot of birds in the premises and some of them are very rare. I recommend this place for everyone whom want to get a break from the busy schedule.
This resort is only one hour drive from Colombo but when I reached there it was like paradise. Its like I drove 4 hours to another province. The weather is completely different and it is in a rural area where the only sound you hear are bird calls with no house or any other building close by. Nearby there is a massive rubber plantation that is owned by Damro. I highly recommend this place for those who want to meditate or relax and enjoy nature. I am a wildlife photographer and was totally amazed to see the many species of birds, mostly endemic around the area and in the resort garden. They have 5 double rooms with attached bathroom. All rooms have a ceiling fan and A/C but no hot water. There is a mini fridge in the room if you need to chill any soft drinks or beer. The road leading to the resort is a gravel rock road and you need a vehicle with good road clearance height to reach there. Please note that there are no shops nearby so make sure you bring your adequate drinking water bottles. The caretaker Bandara is an all rounder and we totally loved his delicious food. This is one resort that I have come across that gives generous potions and is not stingy to serve food. Bandara also took us on a guided trek and hike nearby where we saw amazing scenery. They have a natural rock based swimming pool a swing and a hammock but I never used any of it as I was too busy watching and photographing all the birds in the area. Please note that since there are rubber plantations nearby, be prepared for leech attacks if you go into the jungle. This is one of those resorts where I am looking forward to visiting again..…
