Stopped here on a Rt 66 guide recommendation. It took me back to the 50's. The room was clean but the bathroom as a whole, especially the floor, needed a good scrubbing. The beds were clean and comfortable but the TV was small with minimal channels. All in all it was an experience.

Munger Moss is a classic Highway 66 motel. The rooms are comfortable, quaint, and although dated, fit in with the theme of the road. The prices are very reasonable. Ramona is a wealth of information about the history of the motel and the surrounding area. Coffee is available in the office while they are open, however Ramona does not really... More

This was our first iconic motel on Route 66 and it didn't disappoint - it's everything you'd expect from an historic motel. Just like stepping into the past, from the friendly welcome to the decor and furniture. Absolutely loved it!

I usually camp at Gasconade Hills if I need accommodations in that neck o' the woods. I've stayed at Monger Moss twice now in lieu of GHCG. This time was just plain weird, though. I arrived at the locked door around 1 am. The open sign was flashing so I rang the doorbell. Waited about 3 minutes and rang it... More

Motel looked fantastic, quite well restored and very inviting. We were considering staying for the night and exploring the area until we went into the office/gift shop. Not certain why the person working there chose to share with us. It was an appalling stream of hate and bigotry reminiscent of the worst aspects of those bygone times.

My husband and I are on the Route 66 tour and wanted to keep our trip nostalgic, so we decided to stay off the beaten path and as close to the 50's as we could. We found this little gem of a motel in Lebanon. The owner Ramona, greeted us warmly in the front office and gave us a lot... More

This is a wonderful gem of a motel on Route 66. Since the 1970's the same owners have been caring for their guests. We stayed there in August 2016. The room have been renovated while keeping their 1950's charm with a comfortable bed and old style furniture....our bathroom was even 1950's blue! Clean, quiet and very nostalgic. The grounds are... My wife and I stayed here overnight on our Route 66 travels. Everything we read about the Mother Road mentioned Munger Moss so we made the decision to spend a night here. We were not disappointed. This place was probably built back in the 50's and has been carefully maintained to represent the decor of that era. From the moment... More

The Munger Moss Motel. This is a hard review to write, as the Munger Moss is such an iconic Route 66 mainstay. I stayed there recently, and instead of being one of the high points of my Route 66 exploration, it was one of the low points. First of all, entering the office, you are greeted by a wall of...
