This place is perfect for all Route 66 travellers. I can't praise this one high enough. If you do decide to stay here make sure you talk to Ramona. She is the lovely owner of this historic motel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the welcome here is fantastic.

The vintage decor in our room was nice, and the friendly staff. But that is all positive comments I can say. Quality of sleep was awful, with uncomfortable bed, noisy AC, lack of fridge for cold drinks, poor shower, over used towels, and a not nice room smell when we entered. We stayed in better places along the way, for... More

We stayed here while driving Route 66, one of the few places with original owners that put love to the detail. The rooms are clean (one of the cleanest in the motel category I have ever seen) and lovely decorated in the 50/60ies style. They also are cheap for about 50 USD a room a night! Nice well up-kept property... More

We stayed for one night during our Route 66 trip. It was fab. Ramona was really friendly and check in was very stress free. The motel had a great vintage feel (with an amazing neon sign! ) and we loved the decor of the room. The bed was comfy and we sleep well. The room was well air conditioned and... More

Got worn-out, lacking basic amenities and rude. Trying to avoid chain motels this trip, an historic route 66 motel seemed like it would be just the thing. My emails to Ramona when making my reservation were friendly and helpful. Upon arriving, my first impression walking into the office was that it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Check-in was brisk... More

We booked two rooms. Both were clean with plenty of room. Room 11 had a cool Art Deco tiled shower room and pictures on the wall. Room 76 seemed a little newer but still had that 60's feeling. Basic no frills but great to stay as part of our route 66 trip. The bowling alley across the road was a... More

Just a wonderful step back in time when motel owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The area is a bit sketchy but we had no problems. The pool has been filled in, but has been replaced by a nice patio with shade. I'm f you are heading down the Mother Road, don't miss the Munger.

If you want an authentic Route 66 experience with and abundance of enthusiasm and nostalgia then this is the place to stay. This is not one your hotel chains with all the mod cons. The room we were given (room 66, see the theme?) was absolutely immaculate and like stepping back in time to a long gone era, I could... More

Doing Route 66 we had read that the Munger Moss was a must see. We hadn't booked but decided to try our luck. Our welcome from Ramona was so genuine and after a brief chat she offered us her 'special' room. It was a proper nostalgic 66 room with photos all over the walls. The bed was so comfortable and... It is everything it is advertised to be, quaint, nostalgic and different. The staff are all very helpful and pleasant, there is also a great ten pin bowling alley across the street for those feeling a bit energetic. I would certainly recommend this place to all route 66 road warriors, it's great people have put the effort and money into... More
