Motel looked fantastic, quite well restored and very inviting. We were considering staying for the night and exploring the area until we went into the office/gift shop. Not certain why the person working there chose to share with us. It was an appalling stream of hate and bigotry reminiscent of the worst aspects of those bygone times.

My husband and I are on the Route 66 tour and wanted to keep our trip nostalgic, so we decided to stay off the beaten path and as close to the 50's as we could. We found this little gem of a motel in Lebanon. The owner Ramona, greeted us warmly in the front office and gave us a lot... More

This is a wonderful gem of a motel on Route 66. Since the 1970's the same owners have been caring for their guests. We stayed there in August 2016. The room have been renovated while keeping their 1950's charm with a comfortable bed and old style furniture....our bathroom was even 1950's blue! Clean, quiet and very nostalgic. The grounds are... My wife and I stayed here overnight on our Route 66 travels. Everything we read about the Mother Road mentioned Munger Moss so we made the decision to spend a night here. We were not disappointed. This place was probably built back in the 50's and has been carefully maintained to represent the decor of that era. From the moment... More

The Munger Moss Motel. This is a hard review to write, as the Munger Moss is such an iconic Route 66 mainstay. I stayed there recently, and instead of being one of the high points of my Route 66 exploration, it was one of the low points. First of all, entering the office, you are greeted by a wall of... This place is perfect for all Route 66 travellers. I can't praise this one high enough. If you do decide to stay here make sure you talk to Ramona. She is the lovely owner of this historic motel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the welcome here is fantastic.

The vintage decor in our room was nice, and the friendly staff. But that is all positive comments I can say. Quality of sleep was awful, with uncomfortable bed, noisy AC, lack of fridge for cold drinks, poor shower, over used towels, and a not nice room smell when we entered. We stayed in better places along the way, for... More

We stayed here while driving Route 66, one of the few places with original owners that put love to the detail. The rooms are clean (one of the cleanest in the motel category I have ever seen) and lovely decorated in the 50/60ies style. They also are cheap for about 50 USD a room a night! Nice well up-kept property... More

We stayed for one night during our Route 66 trip. It was fab. Ramona was really friendly and check in was very stress free. The motel had a great vintage feel (with an amazing neon sign! ) and we loved the decor of the room. The bed was comfy and we sleep well. The room was well air conditioned and... More

Got worn-out, lacking basic amenities and rude. Trying to avoid chain motels this trip, an historic route 66 motel seemed like it would be just the thing. My emails to Ramona when making my reservation were friendly and helpful. Upon arriving, my first impression walking into the office was that it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Check-in was brisk... More
