It’s a beautiful resort In A cove with a huge yacht club on one side and a restaurant / party bar on the other. The party bar has a nightly band that plays plays until 1:00 am Insanely loud there is NO sleeping in the hotel no matter what room you choose until 1:00 am. It’s really is unreasonable and most the time a country band sounds like heavy metal. We had the doors ahut and curtains drawn. It’s still like being in the middle of the worst concert.

I had been fortunate enough in January to have had this hotel refund my deposit after being hit and totaled in Arkansas on our way to the hotel. I vowed to come back and this time stayed two nights. I also wanted to see if any of the horrible one star reviews given by other TA reviewers had any validity. It did not. I had also noticed on many of these bad reviews that the reviewers had one review only or maybe just a few. This indicates a deliberate attempt, in my opinion, to sabotage this property. They dropped from #1 to #4 following these. Since then the reviews have been mostly positive. Could it have improved THAT much since those negative reviews were posted? I have also three times flagged some for TA to look at but they have not. I stayed two nights in a corner suite and it was awesome. The suite was more like an apartment as the living room area had a large sofa along with a bar and bar stools. The kitchen had a range, refrigerator, and even a dishwasher. There also was a safe in one of the three closets in the hallway by the bathroom. The bedroom was nice and had a great water view. The suite was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was nice with a rear jet that could be used as well, if desired. There was free parking in a secure lot. The area is great as the hotel is the last business before the end of the road on this peninsula. I was able to walk to the end and back twice without cars zooming by. There was always two staff members at the desk and they were very friendly and helpful. There is a walkway to H. Toad’s Restaurant which is also a nice touch. H, Toad’s also has a bandstand down at ground level and has live music every weekend. They also have a second floor for private events. Wll thought out. There is a large boutique across from the desk and a spa a little way down the hallway. Since check in is on the fourth floor (even with the parking lot), there is an elevator to go to the first floor where there is a workout room and access to the pool area. I had a very relaxing stay, which is sorely needed. I saw signs all over the area about a 2.5% fee to use credit cards but my final bill did not show any charge. I feel that most likely 95% of guests use plastic and the fees should just be built into the cost, if they are not already in actuality. The one issue I had, which is not the hotel’s fault, was the bar across the lake (Shady Gators) blasting out loud obnoxious music until 1:30 AM! The guest who have lakeview rooms are likely unable to get to sleep until they finally end the noise. I ws told the bar is allowed to do this so, here are four steps the hotel needs to do in this order. Frist, have the owner contact Shady Gators and remind them that many hotel guests go over for food an drink, so maybe some mercy should be shown. I was there at lunch myself. The second step could be to contact the local government entity about establishing a noise ordinance at least by midnight. The third thing would be to purchase white noise machines for the lakeview rooms to try to drown out the racket. The last step should be to post on the site that guests should be prepared to have their hearing impacted and should bring ear plugs, etc. I have a pair in my musical instrument bag and would have brought them, if I had known that I was to have a short night of sleep. We moved here after our other reservations fell through at another resort. Camden resort is beautiful, clean, and modern. Gorgeous views of the lakefront. We ate at the restaurant on site - Horney Toad. The food was good! They do charge a 2.5% fee if you use your credit/debit card and are not paying cash. We got coffee from them in the morning, 3$ a cup which is slightly overpriced for hotel coffee. Our room was equipped with a fireplace, full kitchenette and big screen tv in both the bedroom and living room. We were more than happy with the modern, clean accommodations. We also thought the crown molding in the rooms added a nice elegant touch. Camden on the lake is a bit removed from the main ozark area so it will add an additional commute of about 10 minutes to shopping/restaurants. The only negative was that the beds were too soft for our needs. This is personal preference to each. The staff at the front desk were more than willing to help come up with a solution and we were very appreciative of their efforts. Thank you. (Jackie & Lisa - may have gotten the names wrong).

Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. We had a room with a view facing Shady Gators and the main channel. Room had a large couch, bar, small kitchen with mini fridge, fireplace, dual head shower, and balcony. Bed was very comfortable. We ate at H.Toads which is attached to the hotel. Food was decent and service was ok. Enjoyed the band playing at Shady Gators on our balcony. Would definitely stay here again!

A true RESORT. Everything appears to be updated. The hotel and rooms are impeccably clean. Situated right on the water = perfection. Couldn't ask for more. Hospitable staff. Spa. Restaurants. Ambiance. Everything we needed and then some!

Very nice room, comfortable, and mostly quiet. Being there off-season was nice as there was hardly any boat or bar noise. The bar across the cove is an eye sore, though thankfully couldn't see while lying in bed. The room was large and comfortable, though some of the wood furniture is showing rough edges and aging. There was also rust on the bathroom vent. The freezer door was broke and our drinks froze in the fridge. (Only disappointing due to cost, as our expectations were higher for the quality of the room.) The staff was great and friendly. Breakfast was good at H.Toads. We might stay again, though probably not in the busy season.

If you want to make your own bed, bring your own dirty towels down to the service desk because they did not clean your room, or just sleep on dirty dingy bedding that is covered in someone else's hair, this is the place your you. The bedding was dirty before I got there. The replacement bedding was dirty. I was told to make my own bed because the maid had gone home. The room was not cleaned and mysteriously had a do not disturb sign hanging on the door. The front desk told me the only way to get new towels is to bring my dirty ones down and swap them out. If I wanted to work at a hotel, I would apply. The manager would not even come to the phone to receive my complaints. I wasn't even going to complain about the dirty bathroom tiles or the layer of dust on the room's furniture. Terrible customer service!

This is literally the worst hotel experience I have EVER had!! From the moment we checked in there were problems. Our room keys didn't work. We had to go back to the lobby and get another set. When we got back, that didn't work either. They called maintenance who spent quite some time fixing the lock. OK fine. We enter the room, there's a bug crawling on my bed. Both beds were covered in hair. They sent someone to change the bedding. That bedding was dirty, no filthy with more hair. Like, do they wash the bedding in hair?? Better yet, do they wash the bedding at all? So they gave us new linen but claimed housekeeping had left (in the 5 min it took for us to notice the sheets and covers were dirty. So we had to make the beds ourselves. The next day, despite requesting at check in for our room to be cleaned, it was not. When we called the front desk, we were told we could bring whatever was dirty to the lobby and get fresh towels and whatever else we needed. WHAT KIND OF RAGGEDY SERVICE IS THAT??! You actually want guests to trample through your "luxury" hotel bringing dirty towels just to get new ones. No made beds or vacuuming, or any other service??? Wow. Oh and the manager refused to speak to us when asked so don't be fooled if they put some type of insincere response on this page. This place sucks. And they wouldn't know luxury if it bit them. Do yourself a favor and just sleep outside. ZERO STARS!!!

I booked a large room for 8 other people. We arrived early and were unable to get our room right away, which wasn't a big deal. Once we were finally able to get into the room it was right away we started having issues. Maintenance did not have to come not once or twice but THREE times to our room. Our first issue was after trying to place a few items into the refrigerator, all of the shelving gave out, spilling food/drinks on the floor and into the fridge. I cleaned this up and called to get this fixed. They were able to come quickly and resolved the issue. Our second phone call went out around 10:00pm for our curtains not working and again they resolved this issue. After looking more closely at the room I noticed the toilet paper holders about falling off of the walls, the bathrooms looked dirty, the flooring that they claim is new is dirty, the walls had some sort of spilled substance in spots, the pull out bed had a large chip in the corner. All of these things ended up being addressed due to how much we paid for the room and what we actually received. At 10:30 we were all trying to go to bed. After pulling the bed out from the couch we saw a large amount of debris on the bed, as if it had never been cleaned. I went to find the bedding and as I pulled the bedding out bugs started flying out. After this we went to customer services and they sent us a maintenance worker and a housekeeper. The maintenance worker was great and helpful. He was trying to be accommodating consider the circumstance and cleaned the pull out bed for us. We ended up helping with making all the beds since we wanted to go to sleep. We didn't end up going to sleep until 12:30am because of the housekeeper that kept leaving our room to find bedding. None of the bedding was clearly changed from whoever stayed before us by all the stains and mess on the beds. Once our bedding was changed we didn't let housekeeping back to our room other than to receive towels since we knew we had clean bedding. When we first arrived to this hotel we were also all followed by one of the workers from the resort. He followed us everywhere for a half hour on multiple floors, bathrooms and elevators. When we brought this to attention to the hotel staff in the main lobby they only said they didn't know much about this person since they only started 2-3 weeks prior to our stay. As we were a bunch of women this left us slightly uneasy. Thankfully we did not see him the rest of the trip. We also had to deal with music being played until 3am next to our hotel room and it was also very loud with a band outside until midnight or 1am. This made it difficult to sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The amount we paid for our stay was terrible for what we truly received. I will never stay here again.

Unless you are looking for a frat party atmosphere, I would avoid staying. Lots of noisy bachelor/bachelorette parties with 4+ people to a room. Music blaring from the attached bar until 2 in the morning. A pool party scene that looks all too Covid friendly. Many come to Lake of Ozarks for this kind of scene but if that's not you be forewarned and try to find someplace better.
