Hello rgondran, Thank you for your many kind words! We love offering guests a place to relax in our pools, and a place to find fun and excitement when you enjoy a day on the lake, or some friendly competition in our game rooms. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest, and we hope to welcome you back soon.

We stayed here last year for the 4th and liked it so much we decided to stay again this year. We would still recommend this place to others and we will be back but it’d be nice to see some improvements. We were sad to see that the cafe and the cinema were not open during our stay. We did use the arcade but it needs updated and games that work properly. There was a ping pong table and foosball but no balls to play. We had one rainy day and it would have been nice to have more options than an indoor pool to enjoy while staying at a resort. Pool was great and we enjoyed it everyday. The service at Fire & Ice (pool bar) is extremely slow and nobody ever acknowledged us or said they’d be with us in a few minutes. A couple times it wasn’t even that busy and it still took around ten minutes for a drink. We had a server walk around the pool the first night but didn’t see anyone the next three nights which is something I’d expect on weekends as well as holidays. Definitely a lot better to wait ten minutes in a pool for a drink than sitting at the bar. So in short, if there was better drink service and more activities for the kids to do on a rainy day this place would be perfect.

I would actually like to give this place 3.5 stars. I would give it a solid 4 but there are a few issues I would like to address. First things first: Pros: 2 Onsite restaurants and 2 additional bars where food can be ordered Movie theater Arcade Kids play area (I don't have kids but thought this was a nice touch) Great views and rooftop access 4 pools and 1 whirlpool Comfortable beds Nice happy hour Friendly staff (assistant manager super helpful) Cons: Paper thin walls- felt like my neighbors were in the room with me Rooms need updating/renovating Beds are not double- felt more like a twin. 2 people cannot fit in 1 Elevator almost quit several times Pools need cleaning Whirlpool does not bubble Not sure if I would stay here again for the price we paid. For our first trip to this area, it did the job but I think I would look for other accommodations for what we paid here per night. I would hope they would do some updating soon.

We had stayed here a year ago and did not have a pleasant experience but because they are one of very few who accept pets we returned. This time was our last. Terrible housekeeping, rooms our dirty, pool is packed with limited umbrellas. Go try Maragritaville we sure wish we had.

Vacationed here for a few days in June. Lobby is beautiful, rooms are clean. We didn’t have hot water first day. Next day had to run it for 10min to get acceptable temp. Third day & later was good. Food at pool & Beaches restaurant is ok - simple salads & sandwiches & fried stuff - they should really invest in a chef/better options. But you can find great food at nearby restaurants (eg Little Rizzos-pizza&pasta). The three pools: smallest one looked a bit tired, never went. Middle outdoor pool was fun, music & drinks, little shade, very cold water, didn’t use much. Third pool - half indoor, half outdoor with hot tub was excellent & where we spent most of our time. Great views of the lake from middle pool & meeting room on 4th level. Lawn Chess was fun! There’s a marina where you can rent water toys near by.

Hello Travel_the_world11, Thanks for sharing your experience with us-- and with future guests. It's always important for us to know what guests enjoy and how we can improve, and we're truly sorry for the issues with hot water during your stay. Hot showers are an essential part of every getaway. We're thrilled you enjoyed our indoor-outdoor pool and the views of the lake. There's nothing quite like them when you're looking to usher in peace and tranquility. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back, and we hope you'll have time to enjoy a rental at the marina. Being on the lake is one of the best parts of summer!
