The hotel has great bones, and is currently undergoing a major rehabilitation. The location is great for all downtown events. Reception and mezzanine level are grand and inviting. Guest floors are currently very tired and dated, it will be interesting to see how much the current refresh upgrade the guest rooms. Dinning in the hotel property was OK, good but... More

Hotel under renovations so I understand dust. However, our room had much more than recent dust. Looked like only vaccume middle of room. The bed spread was stained and disgusting. Only two bath towels in room for a reservation of two people. Had to call twice to get more towels. Older bed and not very comfortable.

You can tell they're trying really hard to please guests here. Even though the hotel is clearly doing some re-modeling (i.e. "pardon our dust) - you can see its for the good of their guests. My room was clean and spacious. I enjoyed my time at the Phillips and would stay here again. Near the Power & Light district, so... More

We were originally planning on staying at the Westin closer to the WWI Museum. We are so glad that it was full! This hotel is amazing. They were able to accommodate us a day earlier than we planned (barely) with the understanding that the room we had originally booked was not available the night earlier, so we would have to... We were trying to find a unique boutique experience in KC, and landed at this hotel. It has a lot of potential, but just misses the mark in several areas. Everything was perfectly fine, but we were underwhelmed by the lobby (lots of unique old fixtures, but random furniture and unfinished thoughts) and our room was not quite what we... More

I have to say this hotel is just OK. I've stayed in many four rated hotels. This is not one of them. Upon entering it just looks dingy starting with the revolving doors. The elevator along side two other guests elevators which we used was a service elevator most of the time. The room was esthetically similar to the photos,... More

Stayed one night. The staff was great. Elevator was super slow, and the one that had an out of order sign on it, was the one that worked. The pop machines that were hard to find, didn't accept your dollars. Price after taxes and parking was around $250 for a night. The other benefit, it was 5 blocks from the... More

We had a wedding block of rooms for wedding guests and family. We had requested rooms together on on the same floor as we had little ones with us that we needed to care for. The rooms were all over which made it difficult but could have been easier with a little communication that the rooms we requested were limited... More

We've stayed here several times while staying overnight downtown and love it. The rooms are beautiful and the location is great for walking to many close downtown options. The hotel has done a great job of preserving the historic beauty of the hotel while updating the rooms and amenities

I love historic decorative buildings. Unlike most cookie cutter hotels Hotel Phillips had lots of character. The staff were friendly and very helpful during check in. I love the location. Close to many food and shopping venues. Lots to do in the area. I would stay here again.
