Stayed here in the past but WOW has it changed! Run down, loud, non customers in and out of the hotel. Police presence. Not safe!! No sleep. 3 am both nights people yelling, cars racing up and down the street, sirens. Very, very disappointing. Can’t get the $50 “hold” back so I wouldn’t let them charge that to your card.
The room was nice and our stay was great however once we checked out there was a large charge for “damages” which is a complete lie.... must be how we was able to get the room and a good rate.. they use bullsh!t excuses to charge extra DO NOT fall for their scam... also the clerk was on her phone cussing out someone while I waited to ask a question then continued on the phone while retrieving what I had asked for without a mask on for the whole time even when handing me the item
I booked a room in this hotel for a girls weekend. Neither the front desk person or the woman in and out of the office did not wear masks though Kansas City requires them in the midst of COVID. I arrived and waited for 20 minutes behind one person to check in. When I finally received my room assignment and key, the room was dirty. I returned to the check-in and reported this. I was escorted to a new room that was occupied. The reason this happened per the staff was that they had hired new cleaners who just started today and there was a glitch in their system. I request and received a refund and we went to a different hotel. SAVE YOURSELVES!!! DON’T STAY THERE!!!
This place is NOT as good as some reviews make out. These people must have very, very low expectations or be compensated for their review. We stayed one night in this hotel and we would not have stayed another if we had to. Paper thin walls (road traffic was SO loud!), the door fell off the bathroom (literally), no hot water in the shower, the toiletries had obviously been used and not replaced, and they left us with less than 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the whole room. The only good thing they did was leave us with a full Box of Kleenex. 🙄 Such a terrible stay, especially for the price. And it’s sad, because I really wanted to like this hotel. 🤷🏼♀️
Pros: Close to a lot of locations, parking was easy, hallways had large mural photography that talked about KC history, people were nice Cons: Mostly minor things... AC said controls were on the wall, but the wall panel didn't actually control the AC. No TV channel guide. Front door sign said that doors are locked at sunset. Front doors were locked around lunchtime at least once during my stay.
