Parking is less than desirable. Very tight out front and the back lot is ok as long as you plan on being in by 8pm. I wanted to splurge and got the room with the jacuzzi in the room, however, as we walked in we both laughed and commented that it looked like a room that should be rented out by the hour. The faucet on the jacuzzi dripped all night long and when you turned the hot water on, water leaked all over. The floor really could have used a good vacuuming. The AC felt like it kept shutting itself off. And the hallway smelled of dog poo, there was nasty poo poo dog prints from the elevator all the way down the hall. Seriously, the room attendants couldn't see or small that? The only good thing I could say, the bed was very comfortable and the staff at the front desk were very friendly. …
Spent night right after Christmas so we could see the Christmas lights. Nice motel with a very personable check-in and maintenance people. A few blocks from the Plaza. Bed was comfortable. Food wasn't great, but was reasonable.
Very friendly staff. Breakfast offered a nice variety of breakfast food items. Staff did a good job of cleaning tables and refurnishing items at breakfast. Great location. Close to many bars and restaurants. The hotel needs remodeling.
We stopped at this hotel for a night on our way to the west coast. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfy! We loved the warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and one of my favorite extra touches at this hotel is the nightlight that was built into the light switch in the bathroom. It was so nice to not have to turn the light on in the middle of the night to use the bathroom!
This room and hotel were very DIRTY I didn't want to touch anything. Tried to putting the filth out of my head .then I pulled back the sheets and my 13 year old pointed out there was a condom wrapper in the bed wth. The sheets looked slept on eww. So I slept on top of the blanket. Party's out side our windows most of the night and morning . Find a different motel this place is run down and smelly..
Will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone!! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and way over priced for the services, condition, and location! As you walk down the hall it has a strong odor of potpourri burning as to trying to hide something. The first room on the 4th floor that we were assigned to had an odor of an old cigar mixed with the potpourri and was nauseating. Especially since the rooms where suppose to be non smoking. The bathroom had vomit on the bathroom door, floor, and curtain. The bathtub had no paint left in it due to what looked like someone using it as a beverage cooler. We asked to be moved and we were accommodated after having to speak to the manager. We then moved to the 3rd floor where there was still burning potpourri that was trying to cover up something else. The room still smelt of cigarette smoke, but not as strong. As with the last room, the carpets were stained and not clean. There was a small refrigerator, but no microwave. The following day we were out of the hotel from early morning until late evening. Upon returning the room had not been cleaned and we had no clean towels. I called the front desk and was told that the rooms are only cleaned if you request it at the front desk and it was too late for anyone take care of it. We were not informed of this when we checked in. I was told that we could get clean towels, but I had to call several times to get anyone to bring them. We asked to get reimbursed and would go to another location, but was told we could not do that so we endured another night. There was constant very loud music most of the night that was coming from the gas station next door. It sounded like it was right in the next room so did not get much sleep. We asked for a late checkout of noon instead of 11:00 and where told we could not. The hotel location is not as described in the advertisement and is nowhere near anything that is within walking distance unless you want to go to the bar on the adjacent corner. If you like to party and trash your room this is the hotel for you! This hotel is NOT family friendly!…
This is the absolute BEST best western to stay at in kcmo! They breakfast is superb. The rooms were amazingly clean as was the hotel! The staff is so friendly I didn’t want to leave! It was an overall great experience! I’ve stayed at thousands of best westerns and this one is the one to be at!
Dirty hallways, ripped sheets, trash in room and noise outside all night (cars, sirens, people yelling etc). Only good thing is the location to the Plaza and museums. Food is mediocre at best. Not worth the $200 we got charged for a 2 bed room. Maybe worth more like $90 a night.
The location of this hotel and the amazing staff are the only reasons to stay here. Each staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel makes is so easy to get to Westport or the Plaza. But the noise made it unbearable to sleep. Cars at the QT next door revving their engines, racing up and down the street and hearing guests talk in the hallways all night were just too much. While we expect some noise at a hotel, it felt as if there was no insulation to provide any sound barrier. It literally sounded as if the windows and door were open all the time,
No hot water, no food vending machines, no ice, no microwave to reheat the left overs we had to eat, breakfast was not the greatest and we love the free breakfasts at motels, loud partying all night, terrible experience. Beds were hard and not comfortable at all.
