My stay at the Fontaine was incredible. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and hip. However, the customer service is what makes the place really special. I flew into Kansas City from the NYC area to propose to my girlfriend and stayed at the Fontaine for two nights. My girlfriend did not know I was coming to town so I stayed alone at the hotel the first night and prepared for the big day. Sofie was at the desk to greet me and was extremely friendly and welcoming. She asked what brought me to town and was so excited for me when I told her! She immediately offered to help make the stay even more special by decorating the room and asked me to keep her updated with my proposal plans for the next day. I shot her an email in the morning letting her know approximate times that I would be away from the hotel. When I returned to the hotel with my fiance later that day, our room was decorated beautifully with balloons. Some of the balloons even had very nice hand written messages as well. My fiance was so excited and touched by the decorations. Although the stay would have been great without Sofie's actions, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was extra special. Next time I need a hotel in KC, I will definitely be staying at the Fontaine.

We wanted a safe accommodation to celebrate our wedding anniversary during these unprecedented times so we chose The Fontaine. The room was clean and they accomadated our special requests to have an intimate, romantic dinner in our room. Sophie was amazing and really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! The Fontaine has always been our favorite KC getaway and never disappoints.

My fiancé and I stayed at The Fontaine while on a 3 day road trip from Oregon to Ohio. I was blown away by the elegance and beauty of this hotel. The atmosphere is so classy and romantic. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Also the restaurant served a fantastic breakfast. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out we received nothing but exceptional service. We were contemplating on staying another night because we loved it so much, but I had to be back to report to work. We have already decided that in a couple years on our move back to the west coast we are certainly staying at The Fontaine, I cannot wait to return

arrived late on saturday 3/6 from a 5 hour flight, hotel was at a very low capacity, was given a room on 2nd floor, only to be woken up at 2 am from an extremely loud banging noise from the air vent and AC. after thinking it was just an AC issue, tried to turn off for over an hour. finally called front desk, nice girl came up and proceeded to tell me " oh sorry this is an architectual defect , let me get some towels". took off her shoes, stood on the desk chair and plugged the hole with towels to try to lower the noise. seriously? stated noone was at the hotel to help and thats all she could do but that she would look at my folio in the morning. tried to turn off AC and it wouldnt so had to deal with that noise for the night, no sleep. woke up, checked out, was not given a folio. Emailed the hotel twice and asked for a folio, never recieved one. today woke up to a $150.00 charge. I chose the fontaine over a business hotel, big mistake. stay away, glorified holiday inn. I appreciate the assistant manager trying her best to remedy the situation but do more for your guests. otherwise rate yourself online appropriately.

My friends and I were in town for a girls weekend and were looking forward to staying at the Fontaine. Check in took a long time because they had to make sure our room was ready. When we got to our room it was a king and we had reserved 2 beds. It took another half hour to get us into the right room. Once we were there we had no glasses or coffee cups. The staff seemed frazzled and were not overly helpful. Considering the price we expected much better and were extremely disappointed in our stay.
