I spent a couple of nights at the Fairfield while doing business in the KC area. It is hard to beat the location, the price and free parking. The hotel is a little on the older side and the rooms are pretty basic.
We were there for Business. Checking in was easy, Vonti their Front Desk was polite and friendly. Rooms were clean, large and modern. Internet was fast, I had an online course and the internet was smooth. They have a free shuttle to different places in city for drop off and pick up, the driver was very fun. Their breakfast was good. we have asked for late checkout and Vonti kindly give us time till 1 pm. Checking out was also piece of cake. Thank you to Vonti and the driver who I forgot the name. We had a great feeling there because of them, and other staffs.
I called this motel at 9:30 p.m. after having a bad experience and another location in Kansas City. The staff was awesome and got me a room immediately. The room was extremely clean and nice. The breakfast was very good with lots of room to spread out. Highly recommended and we'll stay here from now on when visiting Kansas City.
I really felt that the staff deserved and A on this stay. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and did their job well. The gal who checked me in gave me an Upgrade on my room (I am not sure if it really was, but she made me feel special that she had given one to me - having not stayed their before, I have no idea what the difference was in the room I booked vs what I got - but I felt special anyhow!). She gave me tips on where to go eat, offered the shuttle service, and was friendly and helpful. The gal in the breakfast room was pleasant and made sure everything was spotless clean and the food refilled. She then came around before she put everything away to make sure we had gotten all the food/drink we wanted before she closed up shop. Room was quiet and clean - bed was comfortable - shower was good-desk and chair for work- spacious room. Price was reasonable. As a single traveler on this trip - I felt completely comfortable staying here and even walked to and from dinner by myself after dark. I needed the exercise otherwise I would have taken the shuttle.…
This property is fairly typical. The property is nicely located and convenient to many things. Parking is free. The property appears in good repair, although there were elevator maintenance issues when we checked in. The rooms are of decent size. There was a noisy mini fridge in the room. The heater is also quite loud. Room decorations are minimal. The blackout drapes don’t close all the way and the sheers have a giant hole in them. The bed was overly firm and I didn’t sleep well on it. The TV was smallish but had a nice picture and a good channel lineup. The furnishings were somewhat minimal. The bathroom was of average size. The water pressure was very weak. Breakfast was mediocre, but free.
