Front desk staff was amazing and customer service was great. However this and anything else my family and I liked about the stay was completely overshadowed by the housekeeping executive as she repeatedly referred to herself as that. She was absolutely atrocious our entire stay. Bad mouthing other employees and guest even in front of us is Unprofessional to say the least. Walking off referring my family and myself as idiots for complaining about a room that was clearly not cleaned. Not sure who is running this hotel to allow this behavior but I will be contacting ihg. This is unacceptable.
My room had not been cleaned. There were cracker crumbs (not mine) and wads of hair and tape (also not mine) on the tile. I am a single female traveler...was put on the first floor with lots of outside exposure. Yuck. The grab and go breakfast was cheap and unhealthy. Morning staff seemed more interested in their phones than hospitality. Room was drab and reminded me of the cheap hotels I find when traveling off the beaten track in places like Peru and India .
The hotel is a typical/standard Holiday Inn Express It is a handy, convenient location - right of the main thoroughfares. Our room had been updated, and was quite comfortable. The renovations were still well underway in the hallways, though, which meant navigating through messy and/or unfinished areas.
We stopped here for the night while traveling to Arizona from Minnesota. This hotel is going through an entire renovation as it appears. Hallways are in a sheetrock and taping stage, flooring in a mix of old and new. Garbage left lying around, ice machines out of order, wet paint signs as well as strong smells of paint and other new construction. Our room inside for the most part is done, outside of a couple of minor things...frig on the floor and microwave just set on top of it. Pool area is closed and in a construction stage, no water in pool. Breakfast area was being worked on at 7 at night so we'll find out in the morning what the breakfast buffet is about I guess....all in all, staying in a building in the middle of renovation and construction! I understand the need for renovation, this building appears to have been neglected. Pics won't upload so description will have to do. I have a major issue with the fact that this Holiday Inn Express is charging full price to stay in a facility that is in complete disarray. Disgusting!…
The hotel looks nice but the room was very outdated. You had to jiggle the toilet handle, the light bulb by bed was missing. Just wasn't a good stay. Several spots patched on ceiling but never finished getting fixed.
