Hotel Indigo Kansas City - The Crossroads takes its inspiration from the city's thriving creative scene by incorporating local artwork throughout its three-story building. The 81 guest rooms of this historically certified, former home of the KC Costume Company, are embellished by custom fabric headboards and specially commissioned art - including a framed paint brush. The latter is a nod to Jim Leedy who in 1985 opened the first gallery in the Crossroads in what was once a paint brush factory. He is among the local creative types who have helped shape the unique experience of staying at the Hotel Indigo Kansas City Crossroads.

We stayed for 3 nights and our room was cleaned once. When I queried this at the desk it was suggested that I had the do not disturb sign up. I didn't. We paid a deposit for colleges room via Expedia but Indigo took the full price and held onto the "incidentals" deposit. They appeared to have no interest in sorting this issue out and blamed Expedia. On the other hand the rooms are lovely and the beds are comfortable.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a very nice stay at this hotel recently while attending a wedding at a nearby wedding venue in this gritty up and coming area near the convention center and TMobile arena. This is a new hotel with interesting rooms and space as it was built in an old industrial building. Our room was spotless, bathroom was excellent. The room was quiet and dark as we were on the first floor. We got very good sleep on the excellent beds. Coffee was provided in the lobby each morning or there is a Keurig in your room. Also refrigerators are provided but no in-room safes. There is also no parking. You can valet or street park or find a local garage as there are several not too far away. The staff was friendly and helpful.

In KC for a work-related event. Opted to stay at the Indigo -- so happy I did. Front desk management was AMAZING! Had early check-in. Room was spotless, really can't say enough good things about the stay. Would def stay there over a large chain 100% Thank you for making everything so easy :)

Clean, spacious room. Good location. Quiet. Not overly friendly staff. AC with fan worked really well. Bathroom/closet sliding door was annoying. Giant shower was really nice Needed more light near closet. Walkable to restaurants and Union Station.

We selected this hotel primarily for it's location so that we could do a walking tour of several breweries. It was an ideal. What we weren't expecting was such a nice property with exceptional customer service. The front office staff is very considerate and helpful. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, great shower and a small fridge. We would definitely return here.

Great Crossroads location. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Because of the location, there is valet parking available or street parking (where you can find it). We stayed in a suite and it was very spacious and clean. We attended an event at Crown Center and it was an easy walk. The only downside to our room location was our window looked out on a dog park/dog sitter and dogs started barking around 8:00 am Saturday morning. The barking didn’t last too terribly long but was intermittent throughout our stay. I would stay here again, but request a room on the other side of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel and good location. The best part of our stay was the incredible service from the entire staff. The check-in staff member was very personable and gave directions for my meeting in the river market area. My room was spotless and the housekeeper was cheerful on the elevator. My waiter in the restaurant went out of his way to get me going quickly for a meeting. That evening, I stopped for a drink in the lobby bar and learned the bartender was from my hometown. Nice hotel. Great people!

We booked a standard King room for 3 nights through Expedia for an all in price of $300+/night.. We were put in a handicap room (not our preference) over a dog daycare where outside play was from 6a to nearly 8 so woke up every morning to relentless barking. No turnover or cleaning. When we relayed our concern to the front desk, the staff was unaccommodating and dry at best. Clean facility and well decorated but certainly not worth the money. Horrible experience, will never return.

I’ve seen the negative reviews but really this place was quite nice for what I was looking for: Near the war memorial so I could walk Restaurants nearby - and also the one in the hotel is open for breakfast Coffee downstairs and also in room Nice Aveda toiletries Staff was kind and helpful. The walls were a little thin or the loft style doesn’t allow for the best noise reduction. I could hear my neighbor snoring in the room next door in the middle of the night. This is an up and coming neighborhood and the restaurant right next door is great. Was good for my solo journey.

We have stayed at Indigo Hotels in many cities and this was best! Our room was big and beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Service was friendly. And we could walk to lots of restaurants and bars. Will definitely go on our list of downtown faves!
