Nothing horrible but in need of some tlc, peeling paint in bathroom, outlet by bed inoperable and chair leaned to one side. It does appear clean and had all amenities you would expect. Close to interstate and plenty of parking
my stay with this hotel was wonderful right from checking in with the front desk girl, Jen. She was extremely helpful and courteous, as well as very quick with our check in. Our room was exceptionally clean, and very quiet which was great for a relaxing evening. Will stay again at this wonderful hotel!
Very near a north-south thoroughfare in east Kansas City. A very relaxing & comfortable respite for a road-weary traveler. I spent some t5ime at the nearby amusement park for a weekend vacation may return again in the future
When my wife and I pulled up at midnight after 10 hours of driving we looked at each other and thought, "Is this the right hotel?" There was police activity at the nearest intersection, numerous people hanging out in the parking lot, windows in the hotel were open, curtains were tied up... At check in I stood behind a heavily tattoo'd female arguing with the employee at the desk that she has stayed at numerous hotels using a pre-paid credit card and it has never been a problem. First of all, I don't mind tattoos but there are those that are professionally done and then there are the ones this female had. Second, I give total kudos to the hotel employee who was very professional and would not be baited into an argument with her. She stormed out. Employee was very nice and I got checked in. Went to my room and the room was relatively clean but in desperate need of an update. Bed looked clean but carpet was missing a section near the couch. Also, a closer inspection of the room showed more scars on the desk and walls (walls had been touched up). The room was not a suite; it just wasn't. I booked a suite and this was a room that maybe once had two queens, they took out a queen, and put a couch in its place. I called my wife who was waiting in the car and described the room as I walked around it. She stated, "No." and described what she was seeing outside. I went back down to the desk and told the employee this just wasn't going to work for my wife. He was totally professional and understanding. This Comfort Inn and Suites is just not what we are used to and have come to expect.…
Clean, comfortable, and quiet. My only minor issue was that our room on the second floor in the back had a laundry smell seep in all night. We checked: the hotel's laundry room was on the other side of the building from us. Not sure where the smell was coming from. Breakfast was good, but the hotel's grounds could use some upkeep.
