Orlando and Bester couldn’t have been nicer and more professional with our large group. Location of hotel is fantastic. Hotel is on great shape. Room was updated, and very clean. Large refrigerator was nice as well. Solid wifi and plenty of hot water.

I love this neighborhood - rising out of a neglected industrial past are funky offices and sleek, cool apartments. The Rockhill Grill is steps away, and the food and service and ambience are divine there. I needed to work and take fitness walks daily and have my dog with me - I could not have asked for anything better. I chose room 401 because it’s right next to the exit staircase - I love not having to use the elevator, especially during a pandemic. (Love the digital key entry to the stairwell from the garage - which is pleasant and NOT scary as are so many hotel garages.) Room 401 is very pleasantly appointed. The kitchen, desk, bathroom perfectly suited my needs and met my impossibly high standards. The king bed was sooo comfortable. Some may not like the view - I enjoyed the vista of buildings and a gap where I could see trains running. The hotel is perfectly sparkling clean - not an easy feat during COVID. Everything was so perfectly prepared that I did not need any help from the staff. Myron and Austin at the front desk were kind and helpful on checking and request for a late check out. There is no way I will risk going elsewhere when I return to KC.

There were a few things with the hotel I wasn’t impressed with. Our toilet wasn’t flushed when we got there, there was hair and other things in it. The corner of our shower on the outside was crumbling and I didn’t care for the bathroom door at all. It slides in and out and we had a really hard time latching it and if you didn’t latch it, it would roll open. Plus it was very loud and let a lot of sound through both ways and with having small children In the room trying to sleep, it was less than ideal. I also understand the changes being made with the breakfast, however we had four people therefore for breakfast sacks and they were all completely different. Some came with two “main meal” items, some with one and they were all lacking luster. (I judge a lot on a hotels breakfast, call me a “fat kid”) With that, I will say, we already plan on making this our go to hotel for when we have to come down. Which is semi regularly due to doctors appointments. It’s a clean place otherwise. I loved that we didn’t have to go down to the lobby to check in or out with the Digital Key. It would make everything more ideal for a family or anyone if they were coming in late or in a hurry. It was within walking distance to many different eateries, as well as our hospital, Childrens Mercy as well as LEGO Land and Sea Life. The staff we did come into contact with were all very pleasant and easy to work with. Having all the in room amenities they had available was great with small children. Again, we WILL be staying here again.

Hotel was nice and clean. The staff was very accomodating and nice. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good the first morning, but they were very short of everything the second morning. I had a hard time getting into the hotel. It was confusing. You had to get buzzed in to the parking area and then go to the 2nd floor to get to the lobby. Once we got that down, it was fine. The location is great and around a lot of fun KC things to do. The trolleyfor Main Street stops right in front of the hotel. All in all, it was a great visit!!

My education and profession is in quality improvement so I am probably more critical than the average person. However, we were very disappointed in our stay that was to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon check I was asked "did you mean to book a handicap room?" to which I responded "no" So, she gave me a different room. We checked into our room and I noticed that there was no bathtub. I have a medical condition that is greatly improved by soaking in a hot bath so request a tub whenever possible. Called back to the desk and asked if there was any way I could get a room with a tub. Response was "oh well then I need to give you back the handicap room because those are the only ones with tubs" Hummm seems strange that the handcap rooms would have a tub rather than a nice walk in shower like the room I was standing in but anyway, went back down and got a key for the handicap room. Go to take a bath and the tub function does not work, lever to close the drain does not work. Room was in poor repair and looked as if it had been cleaned with a dirty rag. See photo of TV. When asked if there was anyway we could cancel our reservation and go somewhere else we were told that because we had gone through a third party we were free to leave but would not get any nights refunded. We stuck it out because we were booked for three nights. It was definitely not the birthday celebration that we had planned. Promised my husband that we'd schedule a do-over soon.
